I Became the Villain's Pendant - Chapter 58
Ji Yan was freezing.
She endured Yin Xuezhuo’s chill while dragging him desperately with all her strength. She felt as if she was dragging a cow, though even a cow would not be as stubborn as him. Sometimes, she was too hard on herself; comforting the Devil Lord didn’t seem like something she was capable of.
After tonight, she might be sick again.
It was so cold.
Ji Yan’s lips turned pale from the frigid weather, and her body shivered uncontrollably. However, her body temperature gradually rose as Yin Xuezhuo picked up the quilt and tightly wrapped it around her.
He had abruptly regained consciousness and swiftly carried her in his arms, heading back to their residence.
Those female disciples were not awake yet, and so Ji Yan sat rigidly on the bed while wrapped up in the quilt. She watched as Yin Xuezhuo cleared their memories and returned to the bedside.
He was looking at her in silence, and Ji Yan, who didn’t know what he was looking at, returned his gaze.
From his appearance, Yin Xuezhuo seemed to have recovered a bit.
When he was about to kill, he looked frightening. The corners of his eyes were flooded with an eerie red tone, and his long hair blew even though there was no wind. It was cold yet bewitching, just like the ghosts that crawled out of hell.
While he still looked like the Devil Lord right now, it’s more pleasing to the eye.
Ji Yan silently wrapped the quilt tighter around herself but still did not feel any warmth. Without saying a word, she bit her lip and curled up into a tight ball.
Yin Xuezhuo felt irritable seeing her uncomfortable expression.
After pondering for a bit, he stood up and walked towards the female disciples. Just as he reached out to grab their clothes and by the looks of it, about to take them off, Ji Yan shouted, “No!”
Women’s clothes couldn’t simply be stripped off!!
What’s going on with him? Didn’t he know about the rigorous preventions between males and females? Ji Yan’s soul was almost scared away.
Yin Xuezhuo answered justly and forcefully, “You are cold.”
Shivering, Ji Yan said anxiously, “It’ll be fine after I warm myself in the blankets. But don’t take off other women’s clothes! Don’t you know that you have to take responsibility for seeing someone’s body?”
Yin Xuezhuo stared at her in silence before retorting, “But I saw yours before too.”
But she didn’t say he had to be responsible for that.
Speechless, Ji Yan nearly passed out from anger.
How could that be the same?! Of course, it was different. But on second thought, it seemed similar… That’s right! He can’t look at others because he already saw hers. Wait, this is also incorrect; he can’t look at hers either!
Why did she accept the fact that he could see her naked?
Confused and annoyed, Ji Yan rolled on the bed. Yin Xuezhuo walked towards her again and sat on the side of the bed quietly. He leaned closer and poked her soft cheek.
“Why did you hug me just now?” His expression was weird. He felt that she caused herself trouble. It’s obvious that she was afraid of the cold, yet she still hugged him. Was she stupid?
Initially, he was going to kill those people.
Yet, when Ji Yan embraced him, he lost the killing intent. His temper cooled in an instant upon seeing her clumsiness.
Ji Yan, who finally warmed up a bit, revealed her clear black eyes and whispered, “Yin Xuezhuo, you wanted to kill them. You cannot get back the Black Ice Scales if you act impulsively.”
She heard about it too.
The things under the spiritual veins were his scales.
She knew how angry he was, especially when the person who hurt him stood right in front of him saying that they “regretted not killing him in the past.”
When Yin Miaorou fell into the Refining Abyss, it was Yin Xuezhuo who removed the restrictions on her body and risked his life to save her. If it weren’t for him, she wouldn’t have even gotten out of the Kunning Sect, not to mention eliminating devils to defend virtue or achieving her current strength and position.
If she were him, Ji Yan would be in a fury, but it was also useless to be angry. Isn’t it natural to meet a few douchebags in life? Even if you got betrayed, what’s the big deal? You’ll meet a better person next time. Surely, you wouldn’t want to keep living in the past, right?
Ji Yan had never been in love before, but she had seen the desperate and hysterical looks of her roommates who were in love. She felt that it wasn’t necessary.
Even if you were upset, the other person wouldn’t feel the same. You would be the only one affected.
If you devote yourself to a relationship, there are bound to be many involuntary feelings.
After sitting for a while, Ji Yan felt the obligation to comfort him, so she said, “Yin Xuezhuo, I can sing you a song. ‘Perturb,’ for your current perturbed mood.”
Yin Xuezhuo was puzzled.
Ji Yan wrapped the quilt tighter around herself and sat upright. She cleared her throat and started singing:
“Ah ah ah ah oh!”
“Ah ah ah oh, hey!”
Yin Xuezhuo said nothing.
Listening to her ghostly wailing, he stared at her for a long time before silently turning his head. He couldn’t help but reveal a slight smile, but it was quickly restored to his indifferent expression. He raised his finger and used a spell to seal her throat.
When Ji Yan opened her mouth once more, no sound came out.
Yin Xuezhuo got up without meeting her gaze, walking to the window with his back facing her. “No singing!”
Ji Yan felt wronged.
He was still so mean when she was only trying to enliven the atmosphere.
Ji Yan bared her teeth and made a silly face at his back, not forgetting to give him the middle finger. After that, she pulled the quilt over her head, turned over, and fell asleep.
