“You’re saying… to forfeit the last payment.” The eldest brother appeared to be somewhat reluctant to give it up.

“Which one is more important, money or life? Using the time that Lu Xiaoer will buy us by circling around the police, let’s get as far as we can. Regarding Lu Xiaoer, we can only count him out of luck for being captured by the police. We don’t have any other way, we can’t just sacrifice ourselves with him.”

“Enough, let’s go.”

The four of them had planned to leave everything behind and drive in the car they had prepared earlier.

On the other end, Lu Xiaoer was also not a kind person. He wasn’t in the mood to be a savior. “It looks like the rain has stopped?” With a face full of redness, Wei Jing pushed the Xu Jiahui who was by his side with his weak limbs. “Wake up. We can’t stay here any longer. We need to leave.”

Xu Jiahui rubbed his eyes and let out a big yawn. Although he didn’t sleep well, he recovered much from his mental fatigue. Previously, Wei Jing had first saved him, then he helped him escape from the kidnapper’s grasp, so now, he would do everything he was told.

“Where would we head towards?” Xu Jiahui asked.

“Let’s just keep moving forward!” A few occasional rushed breaths could be heard from Wei Jing’s mouth, the pain of his brain swelling made him unable to think straight, “Go as far as we can.”

“Ok.” Xu Jiahui mn-ed obediently.

The sky was so dark that Xu Jiahui couldn’t see Wei Jing’s pained face. He just held on to the hand of the person beside him, afraid that those sturdy men would suddenly jump out from nowhere and capture them.

“Wei Jing… listen to it, is there some sound that’s calling our name?” Xu Jiahui pricked up his ears to listen and constantly turned back to check.

“I… I don’t hear it.” The child’s voice sounded lifeless.

“Oh, then I probably heard it wrong!” Xu Jiahui replied.

Wei Jing became his most trusted person. If Wei Jing said no, then it’s nothing for sure!! For sure!!! But…he felt like he really heard it! No, they were all false illusions, false illusions, it must be his false illusion caused by extreme starvation! QAQ

Xu Jiahui rubbed his belly. So hungry! It’s so painful!
