The Tamed Heiress - Chapter 10
Dana stared blankly at the ceiling, lying on the bed. Tears of unknown reason flowed down the corner of her eyes.
The burning heat in her heart seemed to strangle and squeeze it. She couldn’t open her mouth because she was suffocated each time she did. That was why she couldn’t talk the whole time.
She was somewhat more alert than when she first woke up. However, the fog obscuring her thoughts remained.
She didn’t remember anything. However, out of nowhere, anxiety that someone might harm her continued to hover uneasily.
“It’s painful…” Dana grabbed the bedsheet and breathed heavily.
The first memory she had now was Leon’s embarrassed red face and firm voice.
[I was just trying to warm you up.]
Why was that?
As soon as she saw the awkward attitude, Dana strangely let go of her anxiety. And she fell asleep again in warm water, all the painful memories melted and disappeared.
‘Why… don’t I remember anything?’
Even her name was scattered like fragments.
‘First of all, that person doesn’t know who I was before.’
She was confused by memory loss, but her judgment was not lost.
In any case, he was the only one she could rely on in her current situation. Instinctively, she pretended to know nothing and attached herself to him.
Of course, it wasn’t all a pretense. The man was embarrassed but eventually allowed himself to stay, lusting for her body
‘It’s not a bad thing. Even if he pretends he’s not, he’s actually a kind person. And… he wants me. This body.’
“Like…” Dana, unknowingly speaking to herself, was sucked into the gaping hole of her memories.
She endured the headache by buying her face into a pillow. “Sigh… Ahhhhh.”
The pain subsided for a while, and her mind calmed down. What she had to do now was clear her thoughts.
Dana clenched her fist and raised herself from bed. She slowly came down and stood in front of the mirror. She looked a little unkempt, but the shiny blonde hair, blue eyes, pale skin, and curvy body were still attractive.
‘All I have is this body.’
Now that everything had disappeared, the only thing left of her was an intense desire for life.
‘I have to live.’
Dana got to know him in her own way during the day. And she came to a conclusion. She decided to seduce this man into protecting her.
* * *
The sun went down.
Clink!
As she pushed the maid’s hand to force her to feed her, the spoon fell to the floor under the bed. Dana looked a little sorry at the spoon.
“Ah… Ah!”
The maid pinched Dana’s arm to the point of tears. “Hey, you! You’re constantly trying to bother me.”
When Dana looked at the maid in embarrassment, she glared and shouted, “What are you looking at? You can’t talk anyway! A kid who we don’t even know where she’s from has come in and is lying here.”
It was not enough to pinch, apparently, as the maid raised her hand high as if to hit her one more time. However, just before the maid struck, Dana grabbed her wrist first.
She indeed bothered her a little, but she didn’t have the intention to let her do that much.
“Uh…Uh! Are you not going to let go of me? Let go! Let go!” The maid tried to remove her caught wrist, but Dana did not let go easily.
Her mouth was not open yet, but she stared straight at the maid with angry eyes.
“Why are you so strong when you haven’t eaten anything?” She tried to grab Dana’s hair, and Dana pulled back and avoided the hand.
After scuffling over the table on the bed, the soup bowl was pushed down and the clear, steaming soup soaked Dana’s thin clothes.
“Ah! How can I wash this?” The maid was astonished by the additional work, and this time she tried to take off Dana’s clothes.
Dana went to the end of the bed to avoid her hands.
“Where are you going? Come here!”
Dana stumbled with a thump when the hem of her dress was caught. She grabbed her head and complained of pain. The maid tried to approach her in a huff, but stopped at a sound.
“What are you doing?” Leon, who just came in, looked at them firmly.
The maid was a little embarrassed, but she quickly changed her attitude and greeted her master politely. Leon looked at the two alternately for a moment and walked to Dana.
Dana’s soup-soaked clothes made the events clear.
