Your Most Faithful Companion - Chapter 19
A sense of awkwardness reappeared between the two of them, just like when Cen Sen found out she was self-partying in the shower.
As if he knew what Ji Mingshu was thinking, Cen Sen asked, “Why are you looking at me, ‘fairy who can make people kneel just to be her servant’?”
There was a small pause when he said, “The fairy who can make people kneel just to be her servant.” His monotone made it sound like he was a high school student reciting an ancient poem, except there was a vivid sense of contempt that was added in his restatement.
Without time to react, Ji Mingshu didn’t know how to retort.
Not knowing where his leisure mood came from, Cen Sen continued, “Did I get the name right? Maybe you like the title of “The fairy who makes everyone fall for her” better?
“……”
She was too nice to think that a monster like Cen Sen, the combination of a cold personality and a cheap mouth, would feel dejected over the complexity of his family relations.
She sat up straighter and said plainly, “Talk more since you know how.”
Cen Sen didn’t follow her demands as he turned his gaze forward cooly and told the driver to drive to Clearwater residence, with the entire ride remaining silent.
There were two sections inside the Clearwater residence, one section was the Huanshui Villa area, and the other was the Huxin Villa area. Cen Sen and Ji Mingshu lived on the thirteenth building of Huxin Villa, which included a custom-made bridge that led to a private parking lot. Police were also stationed by the side of the bridge, providing 24 hours of service, so the security and privacy system of the residence was very safe.
As the car stopped, Ji Mingshu immediately got out of the vehicle and walked away without looking back.
Awesome! The invisible man, Zhou Jiaheng, commented inwardly as he witnessed her attitude and well-shaped figure from the back.
As Ji Mingshu arrived at the house, she quickly went up to the second floor and locked the bedroom door, thinking that maybe Cen Sen would plead softly her when he found out the door was locked. But there wasn’t any movement from downstairs even after she finished removing her makeup.
Walking to the balcony, she coincidentally saw Cen Sen’s car slowly driving out of Huxin Villa with a discreet Passat following from behind.
The person driving the Passat was one of Cen Sen’s bodyguards who followed him 24/7.
So… he left?
When Ji Mingshu finally reacted, she quickly called him to inquire, “Where are you going?”
Cen Sen replied plainly, “I still have a business invite. Don’t wait for me; go rest first.”
“…? Who wants to wait for you?”
There was a second when Ji Mingshu thought she heard it wrong. Was this man expecting her to be a faithful wife who wanted to wait until he returned? How can he have such a wild thought? How disappointing.
She hung up the call mercilessly. But right after she hung up, the young woman felt that she hung up too quickly. Would he think that she hung up because she was guilty?
She felt angrier and angrier the more she thought about it. “How shameless. He only looks so-so, yet dares to dream so big!”
After she finished complaining, Ji Mingshu threw down her phone and went into the restroom to put on her face mask.
Putting on the mask, she suddenly thought of something. Wait, no, she can’t put him into the “Not so good looking” category. First of all, he really doesn’t belong in that category. Secondly, if she really placed him into that category, wasn’t she insulting her own sense of style?
Thinking about it like this, she became even angrier.

On the other hand, Cen Sen told the driver to drive towards Heyonghui after dropping Ms. Ji off at Clearwater.
Heyonghui is a private club on Ruiying road, at the old location of the embassy. Compared to other upper-class clubs, Heyonghui was special in that it didn’t accept club members, instead, inviting people who fit their criteria.
Cen Sen had a social event tonight at Heyonghui, and he invited some business partners to discuss the sourcing of the supporting facilities at the tourist hotel in the West.
