EDITORS
Will I be paid?
Yes. Editors/Comics Proofreaders are paid a flat rate. This will only be disclosed to applicants that passes the test.
How many chapters do I need to edit per week?
At least one full chapter (3,000 characters). However, your schedule is mostly dependent on the translator.
What are the differences between volunteer and paid editors?
For volunteers, you may choose your own schedule and get to read in advance (chapters that aren’t released to the public yet). You are allowed to choose the novel you want to edit as well.
You may choose to read advanced chapters from the novel you’re editing or from the limited pile of novels that the respective translators are willing to share with you. In short, this depends on whether the translator allows you to read their chapters in advance.
For paid editors, you have to agree on a schedule with your assigned translator. You are expected to be punctual.
Can I edit more than one novel?
Yes, you can. However, we stress punctuality for the editors. Only take on another project if you can keep up with your translators’ schedule. While they may be lenient if you turn in your edits late, it doesn’t reflect good on you.
