Mu Dong passed the invitation to Bai Qi.

Not long after, the other roommates were also back.

Bai Qi dried his hair off as he listened to them gossip. “I heard Jiang Fangcheng’s girlfriend is from quite a rich family. She has even gone overseas as an exchange student in the past.”

“The forum should be crazy right now, ain’t it?”

“Yup.”

Bai Qi was getting a headache with each passing second he listened to them.

Just then, his phone rang. Mu Dong hurriedly took it out of the bag and handed it to him.

Bai Qi took the phone and lowered his gaze towards the screen.

It was an unknown number.

Bai Qi tightened his grip on his phone.

Very soon, the screen lit up again. It was another call from the same number.

This time, Bai Qi didn’t hang up. “Hello.” 

“Hi, you are Bai Qi right? I’m at a cafe near your university. Please head to your school gate. You will see a black SUV with the car plate number, 3V7J. That car will bring you over to the cafe,” the person said in a polite tone.

The man paused for a moment, then, he said with a rich and sensual voice, “I’ll be here waiting for you.”

This voice… It sounds kind of familiar?

Bai Qi gazed downwards, his lashes fluttering lightly. “Alright, I got it,” he said.

Bai Qi got off the phone, took an umbrella, and headed downstairs.

“Ah, Qi Qi, where are you going?” his roommates asked. “It’s super cold today! It may be sleeting!”

“How ‘bout you bring my hot-water bag along with you?”

Bai Qi shook his head and quickly took his leave.

Everything was just as mentioned in the phone call. 

Bai Qi saw the black Bently as soon as he reached the school gates. 

Next to the car stood a man who by the looks of it, seemed like a bodyguard. He was a fierce-looking man, attired in a black suit with a pair of shades sitting on his nose.

He never knew much about Jiang Fangcheng’s family background. Wow, so they have dealings with □□?

Will I be rewarded if I were to report them?

Then Jiang Fangcheng would receive what he deserved all at once too?

A spiral of thoughts ran through Bai Qi’s brain. A strong gust of wind blew in his direction and his umbrella flipped inside out.

“…” Bai Qi reacted.

Not far away, a man dressed in a suit that didn’t quite seem to fit him paused in his tracks.

“Bai Qi?”

The girl next to him clung to his arm tightly. She asked hurriedly in a small voice, “What’s the matter, Fangcheng?” 

He didn’t expect to come across Bai Qi as soon as he returned to school.

Bai Qi’s hair was a mess. Water droplets running down his stunning face. He looked fragile and delicate in his current flustered condition.

He must have received the invitation.

He should be really sad, right?

However, there was no choice… Jiang Fangcheng’s eyes darted in his direction. In the future, he will think of a way to console Bai Qi’s wounded soul.

With that, Jiang Fangcheng hardened his heart and walked into the university with the girl.

On the other hand, Bai Qi now stood in front of the Bently. “Hello,” he said.

The bodyguard took off his shades “Good day Sir, are you Mr. Bai Qi?”　

Bai Qi nodded. He was holding onto that umbrella which was on the verge of falling apart, with water still running down his body. He looked so weak and helpless.

The bodyguard acted as if he didn’t notice the water that was all over him. He opened the car door and said, “Please, go ahead.”

Bai Qi said, “There’s water…”

“It’s fine.”

Alright then. 

Since they themselves don’t mind.　　

Bai Qi obediently entered the car.

The cafe was not far away, it was around 900m from the university. It was quite a private place. Clearly, its prices were also slightly higher. Hence, few students come here for coffee. 

The bodyguard escorted Bai Qi into the shop through the backdoor. Soon, a waiter came and led him to a private room. 

There were two people in the private room. The one on the left was shorter and was on the chubbier side.

He had a towering figure. Even though he was sitting, one could tell that he was a tall man with long legs. 

He had a cup by the handle in one hand. His well-defined fingers draped along the white porcelain. It was like a beautiful piece of art.　　

He looked extraordinarily handsome. Plus, somewhat familiar.　　

The man slowly got up, extending his hand as he gave a slight smile and said, “Nice to meet you, I’m Xi Chengyun.”

He was devastatingly charming, blessed with the finest charisma and oozing classy demeanor. He was “the most precious of all the trees, and when he smiled, the moon would also fall into his embrace”. There is none other in the world like him.
