After Becoming the Hero’s Ex-fiancée - Chapter 198
Saviour (3)
The wolf let out a howl and its human-like eyes flickered. It seemed like it wanted to retreat. Cui Wang’s previous strike had wiped out nearly half of its underlings.
After taking the elixir, the injured people gradually sat up. They hadn’t lost all consciousness earlier. They had just been too severely injured to move. But everyone had seen that one strike.
Gui Jing was still immersed in the memory of that astonishing sword strike, while the others kept looking between the pitiful-looking Zheng Wan and Li Wei Zhenjun.
“If I heard correctly just now, Zheng Zhenren called out Li Wei Zhenjun’s name just now, right?” the monkey-faced cultivator ventured.
Jing Yue sat cross-legged, not saying a word. She used her vital energy to assist in the absorption of the elixir’s medicinal effects. It was the Five-Turn Elemental Heart Pill, a rare Grade 5 elixir that could instantly heal any flesh wound.
“Yes, you heard correctly,” Jing Yue replied after a short moment of meditation. Her pale face began to regain its colour, and her tone became lighter. “I heard it too.”
“So, Li Wei Zhenjun and the one from the Yuqing Sect… got together?” Monkey Face exclaimed. He turned to Lu Yi, who was beside him. “Your Little Junior Sister and Li Wei Zhenjun got together?”
Second Senior Sister shook her head in puzzlement, then nodded. “Probably… yes?”
Between men and women, intimacy didn’t always require intimate words. Sometimes, a fleeting exchange of glances or a moment of tenderness was enough to convey everything.
Gui Jing wasn’t concerned with these matters and said, “No need to make such a fuss. We still need to hold the line for Zhenjun.”
Cui Wang stood in mid-air, treading on the clouds, holding his sword only five steps away from the alpha wolf. The Rank 4 Phantom Wolf, which usually moved as easily as breathing, was now significantly slower. Jing Yue glanced at it and couldn’t help but say, “A Domain? Li Wei Zhenjun has actually cultivated a Domain?”
It was a known fact that one had to be at least at the Grand Magnificence stage to cultivate a Domain. In fact, throughout the entire Heavenly Realms, there had been no reports of a Grand Magnificence cultivator who could conjure a Domain. Even most cultivators at the Formlessness stage would never be able to master it in their lifetimes.
After all, a Domain represented a certain law of heaven and earth, and mastering a Domain meant being able to manipulate a certain rule of heaven and earth—and doing so was to touch upon the realm of Dao.
And Cui Wang had clearly dragged the alpha wolf into his own Domain, preventing it from using teleportation techniques.
Shu Yuan squinted his eyes and said, “It’s not a full Domain; it’s a partial Domain, or you could say, the rudimentary beginnings of a Domain.”
But whether it was a partial Domain or the rudiments of a Domain, it indicated that he had already touched the power of rules.
“Li Wei Zhenjun is only in the Pure Veracity stage… right?” Gui Jing’s eyes were wide with amazement. “He’s truly deserving of being the top newcomer in the Heavenly Realms.”
Jing Yue put away her usual prideful demeanour. “Indeed.”
Zheng Wan didn’t fully understand, but it didn’t stop her from thinking that Cui Wang’s swordsmanship at this moment was truly exquisite, and that he was extraordinarily handsome. Her patience was limited, so after holding the baby for a while, she handed her over to her Second Senior Sister and watched Cui Wang’s fight in the sky with her chin in her hand.
His robe sleeves fluttered like a dance of flowing clouds, coming like thunder and calming like the stillness of a tranquil sea.
“Li Wei Zhenjun is truly a handsome man of this era,” Jing Yue clapped her hands and sighed.
Zheng Wan, “…”
She smiled, but said sternly, “You’re not allowed to fancy him.”
Jing Yue chuckled and said, “Such a beauty should only be admired from afar, and not to be toyed with. If you want to claim him as your own, you’ll likely be annoyed to death by the swarm of admirers flocking to him.”
“…” Zheng Wan thought to herself, He’s just a temporary romance anyway, so his swarm of admirers have nothing to do with me.
As Cui Wang sheathed his sword, the enormous body of the alpha wolf crashed to the ground, and the surrounding Phantom Wolf pack fell like dumplings into a pot. No one dared to move.
“Clean up the aftermath,” he said. Then, he put his sword away and turned his gaze toward Zheng Wan, extending his hand. “Come with me.”
“I won’t,” Zheng Wan replied, placing her hands behind her back and shaking her head. “I still have some things to take care of.”
“I want to bury Yadan,” she continued, her voice growing quiet. Her long lashes trembled slightly, revealing a hint of sadness. She looked up at Cui Wang and said, “Cui Wang, can you wait for me for a while?”
The woman’s fair face still bore traces of tears, and her watery eyes were like clear water. Cui Wang’s throat moved slightly; he turned his head away and said, “Okay.”
Everyone watched as the yellow-robed female cultivator whispered coquettishly, and the white-robed sword cultivator, who had always been as cold and ethereal as an immortal, stopped in his tracks and stood still.
As they exchanged glances, Gui Jing cleared his throat and said, “Let’s divide these Phantom Wolves among ourselves and pack them up. Also, we have to bury the villagers so they can rest in peace…”
“So… What about this child?” Second Senior Sister asked.
