The ceremony for the conferring of the Empress was perfectly done in the grand manner according to Huo Wujiu’s request. At the ceremony, the civil and military officials each looked bitter, but they had to put on a smile. Each was better off weeping rather than laughing. They watched General Huo dismount, dressed in golden red robes, stride up the royal steps and walk to His Majesty’s side.
