After Transmigration, The Male Lead and I had a HE - Chapter 305
He looked down at her, then slowly said, “I don’t want any of those.” As she stared into his eyes, she surprisingly sensed a hint of tenderness and gentleness emanating from those black orbs. She tightened her grip on her wrist and asked, “Then… what do you want?”
He gazed at her, then softly said, “Kiss me.”
“Ah?”
She seemed to be stunned, staring at him in a daze. He leaned in closer, and at such proximity, she could feel his warm breath brushing against her face. He brought his face closer and repeated, expressionless, “Just give me a kiss.”
Her ears immediately turned red. He continued to gaze at her, making her feel more and more shy. He raised an eyebrow slightly and gave her a meaningful look. In the end, she gritted her teeth, as if suddenly determined, and tried to tiptoe to kiss his right cheek. However, at that moment, he unexpectedly turned his head, and Su Qiuge, oblivious to the change, bumped right into his lips.
It stung a bit from the collision, her eyes grew a little teary, and she wanted to pull back, but his lips followed. He tightened his grip on her arm, yet the kiss was exceptionally gentle, unlike his usual demeanor. He tilted his head, gradually kissing her, his movements slow. Over time, she grew less fearful and instead raised her eyes to secretly observe him at such a close distance. The more she looked at him, the more she realized he was exceptionally handsome, to the point where it made women jealous involuntarily.
Then, unable to resist, she lightly bit his lip. His long eyelashes trembled slightly, and his lips appeared even more crimson. He stared at her like that for a while, then leaned in and whispered, “Can you wear that dress for me tonight?”
She was bewildered for a moment before realizing he was referring to the bridal gown. She pursed her lips and said, “I haven’t married… why would I wear it?”
He leaned closer and raised an eyebrow, “If you want to, I can accompany you.”
She blinked in surprise, then hurriedly waved her hand. Seeing him fall silent for a moment, she remembered that it was her who initially praised the dress and recalled the effort he had put in before. Finally, she compromised, speaking softly, “Then… let me try it on.”
In the evening, he went out for a while, claiming to gather information about the nearby officials. After she finished bathing behind the folding screen, she studied how to wear the dress. After a few attempts, she finally figured it out. While tying the final knot, there was a knock on the door. She quickly secured the knot and said, “Come in.”
The door was pushed open, and when he looked up, his gaze subtly shifted. She had just changed clothes and hadn’t had a chance to see herself, but as soon as he entered, he unabashedly stared at her without diverting his eyes.
She couldn’t help but feel nervous, so she changed the subject and asked, “Is it… beautiful?”
He closed the door, walked in slowly, and honestly replied, “Very beautiful.”
With her hair disheveled, covering her flushed cheeks, he approached and continued, “When I was young, my mother once sold me, and I also spent some time in a brothel.”
She blinked in surprise, and he went on, “I’ve also seen how others apply makeup.”
She met his gaze and he slowly said, “You should wear makeup with this dress. I can do it for you.”
She blinked again and obediently walked to the bronze mirror, sitting on the small pear-shaped stool in front of it. In the mirror, she saw herself with disheveled hair and him standing behind her.
He casually rolled up his sleeves and then gently lifted her chin with his hand. She raised her eyes and looked at him in the reflection of the candlelight in the room.
The flickering candle emitted sparks and a faint crackling sound. His clear eyes and eyebrows, illuminated by the firelight, made her heartbeat secretly quicken. His cold fingers tightened under her chin, while the other hand began to apply makeup to her eyebrows.
He leaned in closer, but his expression was unusually serious. She stared at him, mesmerized, feeling his fingertips brushing across her cheek. Then, his fingertip dipped into a little rouge, and he applied the vibrant color to her lips with his fingertip.
Feeling his fingertip tracing the contours of her lips, she held her breath, focusing intently, and even noticed that she was trembling nervously.
She didn’t know how much time had passed when his movements ceased, and he lowered his gaze to look at her. She tilted her head and asked, “Is it done?”
His Adam’s apple bobbed, and he took out something from his sleeve. He slowly opened his slender fingers, revealing a flower hairpin resting in his palm. She blinked in surprise and saw him bend down to place the hairpin on her forehead. At that moment, she caught a glimpse of the woman in the mirror.
The person in the mirror didn’t quite look like her anymore, stunningly beautiful, almost like a painting. He deliberately added a beauty mark for her, combined with the rouge, making her appear even more radiant and beautiful. She stared blankly for a moment, then exclaimed in disbelief, “You… How are you so talented?” It was far better than what she could do herself.
Upon hearing her words, his Adam’s apple moved slightly, and he lowered his head to kiss the flower hairpin on her forehead. Then, his tender kisses gradually moved to her lips, devouring the lipstick he had just applied.
