Do Flowers Bloom in the Fallen Land? - Chapter 145.1
‘A dream…’
The debris entrusted to Baron contained an amplified power to purify the contaminated land and make life grow. So, if he had detonated it at the right time, it was clear that she, as well as a significant portion of Askan, would have been freed from the contamination and restored like the Dews territory.
‘Is this instead a farewell greeting?’
If everything had returned to normal, of course, the spirits of Nathan and the other knights would’ve been released and put to rest, so they would never be seen again.
‘Now it’s really goodbye.’
Even though they couldn’t touch each other, the time when they cold meet whenever they wanted had ended. When Seira realized that, she couldn’t stop crying even more.
“Daddy…”
“Oh, were you that sad?”
Fazed and sweating profusely, Nathan tried to soothe his young daughter, but her tears couldn’t stop. When Seira was barely calming down by a touch that slowly patting her back, a sad voice came in.
“What should I do with the main character crying like this? I’ll have to send all the guests away.”
“Guests, huh…?”
Seira looked up at her mother with puffy eyes.
“Yes, His Highness the Crown Prince is also here.”
‘If it’s the Crown Prince, I guess she’s talking about Calrad.’
The Duke of Askan now looked really concerned, as Seira only hesitated and showed no sign of particular delight.
“It’s a bit strange…”
“Do you have a fever?”
“It’s just like usual.”
“Before, your eyes twinkled when you heard about Aven…”
Seira was surprised by the unexpected name and asked back.
“Aven? Is Aven here?”
“Baby… You shouldn’t call a royal family member who is three years older than you like that…”
But Seira was already too excited to listen to anything.
“Let’s go, okay?”
Nathan laughed and got up as she hugged his neck and stomped her legs as if telling him to hurry up.
“Yes, yes. My daughter wants it, so I can’t procrastinate.”
So, Seira walked out of the room in Nathan’s arms.
He headed to the banquet hall which Seira never thought of opening since becoming the Duchess of Askan. There were so many things that made her wonder if this was really D-Arc, but the banquet hall’s extravagance was jaw-dropping.
But Seira had no time to worry about anything else. It was because of the people she encountered as soon as she entered.
“Duke, why are you so late? I thought I was losing my voice.”
It wasn’t because she was surprised that the Emperor and his wife came to a meaningless 10-year-old child’s birthday party. Wasn’t dreaming unrealistic by nature? Seira was surprised because of their identities.
‘Bern?’
The handsome man with Viseltium’s distinctive dark blue hair with black eyes was none other than Bern Clemens Viseltium. Next to him stood an elegant beauty with blonde hair and light green eyes.
‘That’s Amelia.’
Seira stared at the Emperor and his wife greeting Nathan.
Standing with their arms crossed, the two seemed very friendly. Sometimes Bern’s eyes staring down at his wife were deeply affectionate, were hard to fathom. This was the same for Amelia. The smile that spread around Bern’s mouth every time they made eye contact looked shy like a girl who had just fallen in love.
Seira bit her lips as she thought she might cry for no reason. It was so sad that the two people, who looked so happy, had to endure a hell of a time due to the tricks of those who are worse than the devil. Wasn’t it Bern who couldn’t forget his wife’s nickname “Mel” even though his hair was so white due to extreme shock and he forgot his own name?
She was quietly taking in the sight of them, whom she’d never see again, just like her parents. Then a boy suddenly approached.
Looking about three or four years older than her, he was reminiscent of a flawless ceramic doll, perhaps because of his unusually white skin and dark eyes.
“Princess, it’s been a long time.”
Even though he has a pretty face that everyone can’t help but look back on, the fact that he is Alpha clearly struck her. It was not known whether it was because of his growing body or because of his cool atmosphere.
“Hello… How are you?”
Seira awkwardly reciprocated, greeting him with a soft smile.
‘I’m sure it’s Aven…’
The hair was dark blue like Bern.
“Would it have been that color?”
It was the same color as proof that Viseltium’s blood was mixed thickly, so Bern must have used his hand to steal his son.
When Seira exchanged greetings with Aven, Nathan let her down with a significant smile. Even though she was young, the height difference remained, so Seira had to tilt her head to see Aven.
He bent his knees for her.
“How have you been?”
“Yes, well…”
It was her first time meeting Aven at this age, so she looked at his face so hard to the point that she thought it was against courtesy.
‘Aven was so consistently pretty…’
