Fair Trade - Chapter 59.1

Sei washed her face with ice-cold water. Even though she knew she couldn’t get drunk from a sip of alcohol, she had to be alert from now on.

A brooch with an explosive function, a woman disguised as a man. And a traitor.

Sei stood for a long time, looking at the mirror while holding a towel in her hand. If the housekeeper was the woman’s assistant, then this was a planned infiltration. She snickered at the thought that there was an Asian woman disguised as an American man.

The housekeeper was in disguise, too. It might fool other people, but it can’t fool me. 

A bad feeling kept creeping up on her. Sei left the bathroom and searched through Yuri’s dressing room. As expected, his dressing room was filled with wigs and costumes of various colors. Could this be a rare hobby and a common interest that he liked?

Sei found the clothes Yuri had worn when she first met him. Seeing him in a suit that was bigger than his body, she thought he was a rich loser, not a member of the Red Mafia. He was the first person who had put on makeup so perfectly that it happened to pull a wool over her eyes.

Sei rubbed her arm, which was covered in goosebumps, recalling the thrill of that day.

As she was pondering, she took out a dark-colored short-hair wig. Kirill opened the door silently and came in.

“… What are you doing?”

He looked her up and down in her gown and frowned as if he had seen something he shouldn’t have seen. Sei squealed, “That’s what I should ask you, Kirill. Why did you come in without knocking?”

“I did make a sound but you didn’t hear me. But what are you doing now?”

Sei shook the wig in her hand lightly and put it over her head. Kirill made a noise in his throat as if he was at a loss at the sight of her.

“You couldn’t have just come here. You must have seen the video, right?”

“I saw it. Are you planning to kill yourself? Why did you go into that room, and how did you get the 15th-floor key…?”

“I stole the key at the casino. Who is that woman? She looks like a pretty scary older sister. Don’t worry about it. I didn’t get caught.”

Sei calmly replied and searched through the closet again. Since she had not been able to pack properly because she was in a hurry to get to DE:A, the closet was filled with clothes from brand names that had appeared all over the ship.

So in the end, all the clothes were to Yuri’s taste. Sei carefully chose and took out a simple black one-piece dress. It had been almost ten minutes since the housekeeper left the room. It was clear that she would be preparing to make contact by now.

Her eyes were focused on the cell phone on the console. The coordinates changed every moment. Kirill, who had found Sei’s cell phone, came over, cursing briefly under his breath.

“What? This again?”

“I’ve got the little rat’s location. That Asian woman has an accomplice. I’ve done some work, so…”

“Work?”

The enraged Kirill pulled Sei’s shoulder who remained calm and unperturbed.

“Hey. You were ordered to stay put and do nothing. You better obey.”

Did he tell her to obey him?

Sei lifted her lowered gaze at Kirill’s attitude that seemed to ignore her wishes.

“… Do you think so?”

“What?”

“If you really want, I’ll obey you. The woman’s assistant is disguised as a housekeeper and is roaming around DE:A. I know from experience that no one is as free-spirited as a housekeeper. But do you know her face? Where is she? Not to mention… Are you really not curious about how I found out about the spy?”

She asked back, tapping her cell phone. The screen, which was still difficult to read, changed coordinates in real-time. Kirill’s eyes wavered in bewilderment, utterly speechless.

“Mr. Kuzmin.”

When she called him Kuzmin instead of Kirill, he realized he had never won over Sei.

“You said you watched it in the video. I came out of that room. But all you’re saying is, don’t do anything and just stay put in my room? Shouldn’t you be asking me what I found out or what I heard?”

“That’s because Yuri…”

“Don’t worry about that part. The person I’m going to meet right now isn’t that rat, it’s Yuri. If Yuri’s really, really busy, I can go with you.”

“What?”

“As a lawyer, why are you so tactless? Do you think I am an idiot? Do you think I’m that crazy to go meet that scary older sister without being fully prepared for what’s next?”

Her voice grew louder in frustration. Kirill’s eyebrows flinched and trembled as if he hadn’t expected her to get angry. Kirill let go of Sei’s shoulder and put his hands in his pockets.

“Where is she?”

“Who?”

“Where did the rat run off to?”

Kirill’s tone softened somewhat. Sei turned her gaze to her cell phone. The current coordinates of the item were the employee passageway connected to the casino.

She took out a black chip from her clutch, took out the gas gun and cell phone, and handed them to Kirill.

“Casino.”
