Qi Siyue chuckled and gestured for Xian Sheng to place his wrist on the pillow, before resting two fingers on his wrist gently. His relaxed expression stiffened and he stared at Xian Sheng for a long time. “Your body is too weak. I need to read up more first.”

Zhan Lue followed him immediately. “You don’t know what’s her illness?”

“To be frank, it’s probably the illness of being too beautiful.” Qi Siyue glanced at Xian Sheng and said, “She’s so pretty that God wants to summon her to his side. Well, she’s very weak so she needs to rest well. Let her eat this first. It can alleviate her coughing.”

Zhan Lue took the medicine. Frowning, he fed Xian Sheng a pill, placed the bottle aside and asked, “How many pills a day?”

“Take a pill whenever her throat feels uncomfortable.” After speaking, he rummaged through his medicine box and took out a blue bottle. Opening the cap and sniffing the contents of the bottle, he tossed it to Zhan Lue. “These pills are for colds. Take it thrice daily and she’ll be fine by the Ancestral Worship Ceremony.”

Xian Sheng looked at him gratefully. “Thank you, Doctor Qie.”

“You should call me Uncle like how Zhan Lue addresses me.” Qi Siyue looked over and gazed at Xian Sheng’s face momentarily. “Do you know Master Ling Qiu?”

Xian Sheng said guiltily, “Although he’s my teacher, I haven’t seen him in ages.”

“Well, it’s normal. He disappears every now and then.” Qi Siyue reminded him, “He did mention that I have a female junior in Liang, so you can call me your senior too.”

Immediately, Zhan Lue became unhappy and commanded, “Call him Royal Uncle.”

Xian Sheng pursed his lips and Qi Siyue burst out laughing. “Alright then. I’ll go back and think of a method to cure you. Rest well!”
