“I have a skill that I have yet to unlock. Mr. Yoo Ji-an found out about it and decided to help me.”

“A locked skill? What is that?”

“It’s—”

“Alright, that’s it,” came Yoo Ji-an’s voice from the back as he approached.

Yoon Ah-jung pouted. “Aww, come on. It sounds like something important.”

“I can’t let you know about it yet.”

“Why not?”

“Because she’s still frail.”

“Hey, isn’t it too much to say that in front of others?”

Yoo Ji-an wordlessly held out his hand to Seo-ah, who accepted it hesitantly. He tugged her up from the sofa before letting go.

“Let’s go.”

“Oh, but Mr. Song Jin-ho…”

“I’ll take care of it.”

With that said, Seo-ah bade Yoon Ah-jung and Song Jin-ho farewell with her eyes and scurried away.

“Isn’t he being a tad protective?”

“…”

Yoon Ah-jung smirked at the healer as he returned to his original seat. “What’s wrong? You look like a kid whose friend went away. Wait, no, not a friend. By any chance—”

“Give me your arm,” Song Jin-ho growled, forcibly pulling the limb closer to finish the treatment.

The hunch that something interesting would enter their dreary lives kept the smirk on her lips.

“Oh, to the 75th floor? So we’re going to my accommodations…”

“…Can’t I come with you? If it’s inconvenient, we can go somewhere else to talk.”

“There’s no need, it’s fine.”

It was because of Yoo Ji-an that she was able to stay at the guild in the first place.

Additionally, she also wanted to talk to the only person whom she could discuss her condition with.

Seo-ah opened the door using fingerprint recognition, entering first and then smiling awkwardly. “Come on in—oh, and here are some slippers.”

Yoo Ji-an smoothly changed his footwear and followed her inside, glancing around. “It seems a bit cramped, doesn’t it?”

“What? Not at all.”

Rather, it was very spacious.

It wasn’t even that her standards were low after having lived for the most part in relative poverty. The suite was objectively large, with the living room being the size of the place she would otherwise be staying at.

The floor area was divided into suites for A-class hunters. It was not comparable to Yoo Ji-an’s place, which was an entire floor, but it was by no means a snub against them.

Moreover, Seo-ah was an E-class hunter, at least at the moment, so the place was very much undeserved.

“Sit here, I’ll grab something to drink…”

After getting Yoo Ji-an settled, she opened the refrigerator to the sight of…

The only beverages she had were chocolate and banana milk—a bottle of each—and water.

Right. She’d bought some at a convenience store for Kang Soo-jung.

Seo-ah also took most of her meals at the cafeteria, so she didn’t really buy groceries. She knew that she could ask the guild to fill her refrigerator for her, but she hadn’t tried it yet because it seemed like a waste.

“…Here. Please help yourself.” She held out the chocolate milk and banana milk, avoiding Yoo Ji-an’s eyes when she saw his gaze waver.

‘I should at least have some coffee for the next time.’

He wordlessly picked the banana milk, and so she sat opposite him with the chocolate.

“What did you talk about with Song Jin-ho?”

“He taught me how to use healing skills and weapons.”

“But… you’re not a healer.”

“For now I am, since my supporter status is still locked.”

“Supporter?”

Seo-ah paused. Come to think of it, she’d never directly mentioned the name of her position to him before.

‘Do I trust him that much?’

“Yes, that is the name of my other position.”

“Supporter… It seems to be an auxiliary position.”

“Doesn’t it? The skills that I’ve unlocked as of now are all related to helping other hunters. Um, but I don’t know how useful I’ll be even if I unlock the position…”

“You wouldn’t be here if you weren’t useful. I guarantee that.”

“…”

Yoo Ji-an’s decisive answer made her feel bashful, but a noise at the door stopped her from thinking about the matter further.

“…”

Kang Soo-jung, who had just thrown her school bag into the suite, made eye contact with Yoo Ji-an and froze.

“Uh…”

“Are you two living together?” he asked nonchalantly.

Seo-ah looked at him closely. “She doesn’t have anywhere else to go… Is it okay if she stays here?”

“Yes.”

Soo-jung approached slowly. “I…”

“Soo-jung, how was school?”

“It was alright, eonnie. Still, I’m here to tell you some good news…” The girl sat next to Seo-ah, eyes fixed on the banana milk on Yoo Ji-an’s side of the table.

“Good news?”

“Yeah, the Hunters’ Guild is recruiting tutorial gate participants. If I recall correctly, they’re only looking for D-class or lower hunters.”
