I Married A Disabled Tyrant After Transmigrating - Chapter 173
When those people finally left, Mu Wanwan gradually recovered.
Little Mister Long’s cage was now a mess. He was covered in the foul odour of blood and saliva. Mu Wanwan saw that his brows were knitted tightly into a frown. She watched as he took a handkerchief from his pocket, thought for a moment, then tore off a small piece and began meticulously cleaning himself.
Yet, no matter how much he wiped, that strong stench couldn’t be eliminated.
He stubbornly wiped it again and again, and in his deep black eyes, there was a restrained resentment that had not yet been unsheathed.
It was a gaze she had never seen before.
However, she wasn’t afraid.
Right now, she only felt heartache, regretting that she was unable to be by his side when he was young and weak, even if all she could do was wipe his long hair that was tainted with blood together with him.
She would never, ever be afraid of him.
Mu Wanwan looked sadly at the speechless Tie and Ling across from her. Thinking of the missing Mister Long in the real world, her heartache deepened.
However, all of this was far from over.
The next few days were filled with the same oppression and despair. On the fifth day, when the number of people in the cage had dwindled, the Eldest Brother and Fifth Sister whom Third Brother spoke of returned.
They were a gentle-looking man and a charming woman. Unlike the other uncouth giant birds who only spoke of eating, the demonic bird referred to as the Eldest Brother ignored the captives and went straight to the cage where Mister Long was held.
“It’s just been a few days since I saw you, and all the demonic cores I fed you have already been completely absorbed.” His eyes were full of fanaticism, as he looked at Mister Long as if seeing his own future.
“What an excellent tool for possession,” Fifth Sister chimed in. “Although he’s a mixed-blood dragon with impure bloodline, he excels in talent. Also, after your past two weeks of feeding, he’s gradually able to absorb demonic cores. In another month, when he advances to Rank 4 and faces his trial, Eldest Brother, you can seize the opportunity to possess him. Your Rank 5 soul can firmly suppress his weak Rank 4 soul. Then, Eldest Brother, you’ll be able to break free from the constraints of talent, and even ascending to godhood is not impossible.”
The gentle-looking man seemed to be quite pleased with her flattery, smiled at her, and cleared his throat, “Where are the demonic cores?”
Fifth Sister laughed coquettishly and pulled out the loot from their most recent hunt from her interdimensional pouch—a Rank 4 demonic core and three Rank 3 demonic cores from various demonic creatures.
Mu Wanwan watched as the gentle-looking man held a demonic core that was emitting a strong demonic aura in his hand, feeling a chill run down her spine. Most of Mister Long’s body was hidden in the shadows, and only his thin and pointed chin could be seen.
The man’s eyes flashed with a glint of excitement. His head twisted and morphed into an ugly bird head, and his arms transformed into wings. With a gust of ominous wind, Mu Wanwan and Little Mister Long were blown to the edge of the cage.
She watched as the black fog enveloped him, witnessing him reveal sharp teeth and golden eyes filled with intense hatred, as he was forced to swallow the demonic core. The power of the Rank 4 demonic core was something he, who was only at Rank 3, couldn’t bear.
Mu Wanwan watched him fall painfully to the ground and heard the man say in a gentle voice, “Get used to this, my future body. It’s been a while since you ate anything. These two dwarven siblings can be your snacks.”
Mu Wanwan watched as the gentle-looking man threw the terrified siblings into Mister Long’s cage. Hearing Ling’s hoarse crying, her mind went blank. She really, really wanted to kill all these beasts.
In the next moment, the cage shook violently. Mu Wanwan turned her head reflexively and saw blood gradually oozing from Mister Long’s handsome face.
Blood trailed from the corners of his lips; the demonic aura from the Rank 3 and 4 demonic cores burst open, breaking his meridians, tearing his skin, and releasing demonic energy wildly.
Little Mister Long’s ink-black eyes turned golden, and his dragon horn and ears, usually concealed, emerged. Two pointed fangs appeared at the corners of his mouth, and his hands and feet uncontrollably transformed into sharp claws.
The demonic aura clouded his mind, craving blood.
She watched her adorable Little Mister Long forcibly biting into his own arm, blood streaming down in agony.
He bared his teeth, looking scarier than the evil dragons in picture books, and said in a cold and hoarse voice to the siblings, “Scram.”
Tie seemed to have regained his senses, Carrying his dumbfounded sister, he squeezed towards the edge of the cage desperately.
Mu Wanwan’s eyes were full of tears. Helplessly, she repeatedly tried to embrace him, reaching out to cover his profusely bleeding skin.
It was too painful for him to maintain his human form. Turning into a dragon almost inevitably meant the death of the siblings.
Mu Wanwan couldn’t do anything. She could only watch him lose his composure, writhing in pain on the ground. Dark demonic aura dripped from his eyes like tears.
Even though he didn’t want to harm anyone, the terrifying demonic aura pouring out of his wounds swept through the entire cramped cage, assaulting Tie and Ling’s bodies. Initially, the demonic aura couldn’t cut through the dwarves’ clothes and relatively tough skin, but after a dozen strikes, small wounds gradually appeared on their bodies.
Every time Tie gained another wound on his body, Mu Wanwan’s spiritual form felt a corresponding increase in pain.
The demonic aura’s assault did not simply cause pain; with each wave, first, there was a numbness in the brain, followed by gradually intensifying sharp pain.
It hurt so much, so much.
But the pain and suffering Mister Long felt would only be much worse than what she was experiencing.
This torture continued for an entire day and night. When everything finally ended, Mister Long was covered in blood.
Even though Ling was protected in Tie’s arms, she also suffered severe injuries, and was barely clinging to life.
Tie himself was also battered and covered in wounds. He stared at Little Mister Long, who was struggling to stand up from the ground, with eyes full of fear and hatred.
“Monster.”
“Monster.”
Mu Wanwan heard Tie’s desperation and pain in his voice. He was curled up in a corner, murmuring repeatedly, tightly holding Ling’s small body in his arms.
Meanwhile, Little Mister Long remained silent. He slowly staggered to his feet, went to the spot where Mu Wanwan first saw him leaning against, and very, very slowly, slid to the floor.
