Little Terrified Bun - Chapter 29
Seeing that the problem was solved, Wei Jing let out a sigh of relief instinctively. If the three children actually started to fight, it would be a complete battlefield!!
The chubby kid’s father was a businessman and his business was doing pretty well, so he bought a high-end single-family villa in B city. After the Wei family’s chauffeur delivered Wei Jing to the destination, he stayed inside the car and waited outside the villa so that he could immediately spot Wei Jing when he left the house.
Xu Jiahui asked Wei Jing to tutor him, but in reality, the three of them couldn’t control themselves when they arrived at the game room.
When it was still in the beginning of 2000s, there weren’t that many variety of games. They were all in the form of cartridges and simply displayed scenes on the screen for the players to enjoy. It felt so nice. Now that Super Mario was popular, characters would jump around, not only having to avoid all kinds of small monsters, they also needed to prevent themselves from falling off the screen and dying.
Wei Jing thought that, as a grown up, such an easy game would be a piece of a cake to him.
After a minute.
Game Over。
Game Over.
The chubby kid and Xu Jiahui’s gazes were reluctant.
The corner of Wei Jing’s lips twitched. After a few seconds of hesitation, he turned and asked, “Can I play one more round? Just one more.”
The chubby kid waved his hand graciously. “It’s okay, I have lots of game consoles in my house? You can even play for the whole night.”
“Ok.” Wei Jing nodded with gratitude.
After half a minute.
The kid who died cruelly in the game laid down on the floor, as if the Game Over in huge letters were mocking him.
Wei Jing: …
Trash game, wasted his emotions.
Maybe it was because the child’s face revealed obvious hopelessness, Xu Jiahui quickly switched to another game disk and said, “Let’s change to another game. Xiaojing, you might not fit this game too well.”
Then…there was no more.
To a person who has bad hand and eye coordination, what are games? Are they edible?
Wei Jing took a severe hit to his confidence. His gaming talent was really worse than that of a child, which caused him to be down spirited even on his way home. 6pm was rush hour, and the child gazed nonchalantly at the scenery outside the car window.
Suddenly, as if he thought of something, he asked the chauffeur to pull over. His sketchbook was taken by big brother yesterday, so he had to buy a new one today.
The chauffeur wanted to go together with Wei Jing, but was rejected because it was only a small-sized bookstore next door, and there was no point in making the chauffeur walk with him within such a short distance.
At this point of time, there were still quite a few people inside the bookstore. Wei Jing asked one of the store workers for direction, and without hesitation, he headed straight towards the sketchbook section. He chose an A4 sized loose-leaf sketchbook and some markers on his way.
“The little guy from the Wei family.” A familiar male voice suddenly came from behind him.
Wei Jing turned his head and saw…Wei Min’s cousin.
He still dressed in the same clothes that he had before they separated. Thinking about it though, who would be so bored that they would change to another set of clothes every few hours? The teenager held a light blue covered sketchbook in his hands, along with some colorful color pencils and crayons.
“Hi, what are you…” Wei Jin first greeted politely, then shifted his ink-colored eyes around.
“Oh, this!” Lu Tianyou raised the things in his hands and looked at the child smilingly. “I heard from Wei Min that you liked to draw, so I was preparing this for you. Thank you for taking care of my Xiao Min. I will have to trouble you further to take care of him in the future too.” He said with a generous and gentle tone.
