My Groom Ran Away - Chapter 10.2

“Come in, then.” Ruan Zhiyin was stunned for a moment before she nodded towards Bai Bo. “Everything has already been packed. There are some boxes in the living room and there are some in the bedroom.”

Luckily Cheng Yuelin can still be considered pretty good. Yesterday she had just found out that the moving company that Ye Yanchu had found previously had to be booked two days in advance.

Ruan Zhiyin pointed at the boxes in the living room and bedroom before bringing them around and giving a quick overview of the tasks.

Special Assistant Bai listened to her words and carefully wrote them down. Then he nodded at her and told her to go downstairs. He would stay behind and would oversee the move.

The Bentley was stopped at the previous spot.

Ruan Zhiyin had never thought that Cheng Yuelin would come himself to pick her up. She directly opened the door to sit in the backseat. The man was currently leaning against the seat, flipping through some documents.

He was focused on his laptop and did not raise his head until Ruan Zhiyin passed over something. He turned to look and raised his eyebrow lazily, “What is this?”

“I made too much breakfast. If you don’t want to eat it, I’ll give it to Assistant Bai.”

At the orphanage, Ruan Zhiyin had often helped the Orphanage Mother cook. She liked to cook and really enjoyed the time she could spend daydreaming as she cooked.

When she was making breakfast, she suddenly remembered that when Cheng Yuelin was in high school, he did not have a habit of eating breakfast. Every time he had a stomach ache, he would put on an unfriendly face, and so no one wanted to approach him.

Maybe it was because he had been pretty kind and had helped her recently, or maybe it was some supernatural event, but she ended up using the leftover tomato and made an extra sandwich.

When Cheng Yuelin heard this, he said nothing.

But he took the bag in her hand and placed it by his side. It seemed that he was in a pretty good mood.

The Bentley slowly drove into the Jia Heng courtyard and stopped at a secluded standalone villa.

This was a luxury residential area developed by Lin Heng and it was located close to the Lan Jiang river. This land was extremely expensive.

The decorations inside the villa were even more luxurious, and the layout was aesthetically pleasing, but it seemed as if no one lived there.

Cheng Yuelin brought Ruan Zhiyin inside and took her upstairs. He pointed and said, “This is your room.”

Ruan Zhiyin looked at it and said, “Okay.”

Cheng Yuelin looked at her and then he smiled slightly before he took her on a tour. After they returned to the living room, he tapped on the smart lock on the door and said, “Come over and record your fingerprint.”

“The fingerprint lock can open all the doors in the house. I will not be home for the next few days. You should familiarize yourself with this place first.”

Ruan Zhiyin finally noticed the suitcases in the living room and looked up in surprise. “You are going on a business trip?”

“Ya.”

The man carelessly nodded with an indifferent expression. He appeared to have no intention of elaborating about his trip and Ruan Zhiyin tactfully did not continue to ask.

Immediately after, she carefully said, “Actually, if you are busy, I do not have to move today.”

“What, you don’t want to move?” Cheng Yuelin smiled ambiguously. He put his hands in his pocket and lazily looked at her. “Could it be that you want Qin Jue to find you again?”

Ruan Zhiyin opened and closed her mouth a couple times before she frowned slightly and said: “How did you know?”

Cheng Yuelin slowly walked towards her until he stood in front of her. He raised his eyebrows and said, “Unfortunately, when I dropped you off, I was delayed by about 5 minutes.”

After he spoke, he paused for a few seconds and curled up the corner of his lips. “Or maybe, fortunately, after five minutes, I saw Qin Jue coming down.”

Ruan Zhiyin felt his gaze was a bit too aggressive. She could not help but laugh. “Then…… What a coincidence.”

She did not know why, but she felt that Cheng Yuelin’s gaze was as though he had caught her cheating. Thinking that she had made comments about his legal rights and interests previously, she felt guilty for a moment.

Looking at her expression, Cheng Yuelin did not press on the topic. He then said, “This place does not have people living here often. If you need anything, you can go and buy it.”

After speaking, he took out his wallet and passed Ruan Zhiyin a card.

Ruan Zhiyin did not reach for it and tactfully said, “It’s fine. I have money.”

Cheng Yuelin smiled slightly and raised a brow. He then lowered his gaze and indifferently said, “Ruan Yingying, I have no wish to lower my standards of living, understand?”

The meaning was, even if you have money, you don’t have as much money as I do.

Ruan Zhiyin: “……”

She could only pick up the burning card.

After two hours, Ruan Zhiyin finally finished moving.

Only then did Cheng Yuelin and Bai Bo get in the car and headed off to the airport.

The itinerary of this business trip had long been decided and it would not be changed as a result of this sudden wedding.

In the VIP lounge, there were a variety of delicious buffets.

Bai Bo came out with the exquisite meal he had chosen and was surprised to see his boss holding a normal-looking sandwich.

As far as he knew, his boss did not eat breakfast. Cheng Yuelin was extremely stubborn and hated nagging people. So even Bai Bo did not dare to advise him more than a few sentences.

Seeing the disbelief in his assistant’s eyes, Cheng Yuelin pointed at the sandwich and lifted an eyebrow.

“She was afraid I’ll get hungry, understand?”

The always eloquent and elegant Bai Bo became mute when he saw the flaunting look in his boss’s eyes.

However, the other person clearly did not care about his response. After he sighed, he lightly shook his head——

“Nothing you can do about it. Marriage…” He paused and smirked slightly before drawing out his word, “It’s. Just. Trouble.”
