The second time Lu Sheng knelt down, Weishi walked towards her like before, chanting loudly, “In this auspicious month, you will wear an adult’s clothes. Be respectful of etiquette, be virtuous. May you live long and blessed.” After that, Anping took off Lu Sheng’s hairpin, and Weishi put on a new one.

After that Lu Sheng had her hair adjusted again, then she changed into a black dress that matcher her hairpin, then came out to thank her teacher.

The third time Lu Sheng knelt down, Weishi chanted loudly again, “The year is right, and the month is decreed, you will now put on the new robe. Your brothers are here, to see you become a virtuous person. May your longevity be endless and may the heaven always bless you.” Anping then took off Lu Sheng’s hairpin, and Weishi put on another set for her.

After that, the announcer adjusted her hair again, then Lu Sheng changed her dress and came out to thank the guests.

After the three sessions, Lu Sheng was very pretty in her coming-of-age dress. But the ceremony was not ever yet, and there was still more etiquette to be observed, like the toast, the naming ceremony, listening to instructions, then bowing and thanking everyone who attended the ceremony. And finally, the complicated ceremony was done.

The entire process lasted from early morning until the afternoon. Fortunately, Lu Sheng was not a delicate young lady who grew up confined in her room, otherwise she would’ve been so tired by the coming-of-age ceremony that she would lie in bed for a few days. But still, she felt very uncomfortable wearing the heavy formal dress and hairpin. She couldn’t wait for the guests to leave so she could change out of them as soon as possible.

Unfortunately, that was just her wishful thinking. Everyone came to watch the ceremony, and the princess’s mansion naturally had a banquet prepared after it ended. After searching, Lu Sheng came to the courtyard where the guests were being entertained. She wandered aimlessly through the mansion searching for the white figure, and finally found it by the lake after searching for who knew how long.

But contrary to her expectation, the rabbit was not grazing by the lake, but was being groomed, nestled in someone else’s arms.

Lu Sheng looked at that person’s familiar dress and instantly recognized their identity. But when she looked at the old rabbit curling comfortably in someone else’s arms, for a moment she didn’t know what expression to make.

Her rabbit had been used to acting somewhat temperamental lately – so how did it suddenly turned so docile in a stranger’s arms!?

Lu Sheng stared at her bald rabbit and hesitated for a moment before walking up. The sound of footsteps quickly alerted Anping, who was grooming the rabbit. When she looked back, she had and elegant and beautiful look, but her eyes were filled with questions.

For some reason, Lu Sheng suddenly felt a bit embarrassed, and the words that were going to ask for the rabbit turned into, “Why is Princess here?”

Anping continued to stroking the rabbit and casually replied, “There are too many people there, it’s very noisy.”

How could it merely be “noisy”? There was no shortage of people who wanted to flatter and befriend Anping around her. She, the announcer, had stolen all the limelight from Lu Sheng today! But what had Her Royal Highness not seen before? She was tired of this kind of flattery, and Yongzhou was not the capital. She really didn’t need to tire herself for those people’s sake, so she simply hid herself here.

Lu Sheng probably figured out what she was thinking, so she didn’t say anything else. Instead, when Anping saw her being silent, she asked Lu Sheng instead, “What about you? You’re the main character of the coming-of-age ceremony, why are you not entertaining the guests?”

Facing her curious and questioning gaze, Lu Sheng coughed lightly and pointed to the rabbit in Anping’s arms, saying, “That rabbit is mine, I’m here to find it.”

Upon hearing this, Anping lowered her head and looked at the rabbit in her arms that had grown very old. After a moment of silence, she asked, “You’ve been raising this rabbit for a long time, right?” She paused and said, “It’s become so old that others would not like it anymore, but your love really lasts for a long time.”

Upon hearing this, Lu Sheng’s ear turned red for some reason, and she immediately pretended to be calm and replied, “I have been raising it for more than ten years. It was a gift that Her Highness and Uncle brought back for me when they went to the Autumn Hunt that year.”

While speaking, Lu Sheng subconsciously approached, and Anping didn’t feel anything was wrong either. When Lu Sheng sat down next to her, the two of them even started talking about the rabbit – naturally, it was all Lu Sheng talking about how cute the rabbit was when it was young, its mischief when growing up, and how many years it could still live for.

Anping did not return the rabbit to Lu Sheng. She kept stroking the rabbit’s fur that was no longer smooth while listening to Lu Sheng recounting her past with the rabbit over the years. Most of the time it was amusing, and only when it came to its age would Lu Sheng’s expression become a bit sad.

As the two chatted together, they got along harmoniously, and their previous sense of estrangement gradually disappeared.

Lu Sheng took out a small package of cakes out of nowhere, opened the oil paper wrapping, then put it on her hand and gave it to Anping. “The ceremony started so early, and it’s been a long time since then. Princess, you must be hungry, right? Since you don’t want to go out to entertain the guests, why don’t you have some snacks to fill your stomach first?”

Anping did not refuse, but she was hugging and stroking the rabbit, and now she couldn’t reach out to take the cake. Lu Sheng noticed her moment of hesitation, and without thinking much, she reached out and took a piece of cake and fed it to Anping’s lips.

When those red lips touched the soft and sticky cake, Lu Sheng realized how reckless she had been.

She was a bit startled and was just about to take back her hand, but Anping had already opened her mouth and bit down on the cake. She ate it in one bite, chewed slowly for a while, then said, “It’s soft, sticky and sweet. This cake tastes good.”

Lu Sheng became happy when she heard this. The two shared the cake and felt like they were getting even closer. Gradually, the topic was no longer limited to the rabbit that had taken shelter in Anping’s arms, and they began talking about all kinds of interesting stories.

When she was talking in excitement, Lu Sheng shook Anping’s hand, but the latter did not reject it.

As they talked, the topic started to derail, and finally Anping asked curiously, “I occasionally heard from Royal Brother that Uncle once went out in women’s clothing. I wonder if it’s true? Ah Sheng, have you seen tit?”
