The doctor arrived after he drank a glass of water to check up on him. He checked his physical condition and concluded that his fever had subsided and there were no serious complications.

She sighed with relief.

“What time is it? How long have I been sleeping?”

“Seven o’clock, ten hours of sleep.”

“You didn’t tell Grandpa about me, did you?”

“No,” Ji Qingqing whispered, “Grandpa called and asked if we were going home tonight, but I told him we liked it at the hotel and planned to stay for two more days. He agreed.”

Lu Lixing nodded. “That’s good.”

Ji Qingqing knew that Lu Lixing didn’t want to worry his grandpa and it wasn’t a serious illness to start with. They could keep it a secret in the meantime.

“The company matters…”

Facing Ji Qingqing’s “nagging” behavior, Lu Lixing smiled. “You talk like Grandpa right now. I agree, but you must at least let me explain to the company.”

Ji Qingqing handed him the phone, letting him talk but also told him not to exceed ten minutes.

Lu Lixing briefly talked about the company’s affairs. Then, he handed the phone to Ji Qingqing before she reminded him that his ten minutes were over.

Ji Qingqing kneaded his waist softly with the hand that was holding onto his waist. “Does it feel better now?”

Her hand was soft and the massaging force was perfect. It was very comfortable.

“Better.”

Ji Qingqing continued to rub his waist.

There was a bit of movement from the other end of the corridor and after a while, two sets of footsteps followed. They checked it out and saw that Chen Shuyi and Lin Zhen had arrived.

Ji Qingqing and Lu Lixing came to the hospital earlier. After his condition became stable, they went back to the hotel, and now, they were back here in the hospital again.

Ji Qingqing was embarrassed because going back and forth was rather troublesome.
