Raised by Monster Royalty - Chapter 17.3
Gu Mingzhou put down his fork. “Are you going to eat or not?”
Mu Le responded, “Oh.”
She lowered her head and scooped up a little bit of mashed potatoes with a small spoon.
Gu Mingzhou really treated her like a baby, giving her the smallest set of utensils. He didn’t even give her chopsticks or a knife and fork, just a small spoon.
It was even hard for her to drink soup.
Mu Le hopped off the chair and declared to Gu Mingzhou, “I’m going to get some utensils.”
Gu Mingzhou stood up as well. “I’ll accompany you.”
Mu Le turned around and, with her gaze as a fellow fanfiction writer, scrutinized Gu Mingzhou with a sweep of her eyes.
As a boy in adolescence, although he appeared much younger compared to Gu Mingzhou, his physique was already hormone-filled enough. There were probably quite a few girls in school who liked him.
Whether it was being treated as an unexpected rival or being approached as his sister, Mu Le didn’t like it at all.
She waved her hand and quickly said, “No need, I’m fast. I’ll be back soon.”
After speaking, she ran off with her little short legs “quickly.”
By this time, most of the larger-sized beastmen had already taken their seats. The newcomers were mostly smaller in size. Although most of them were taller than Mu Le, at least it wasn’t as dangerous as it was in the beginning.
Gu Mingzhou felt slightly relieved as he stared at Mu Le’s figure.
Mu Le ran to get a pair of chopsticks and was about to leave. Suddenly, she noticed a very familiar figure next to her, seemingly having difficulty choosing in front of the utensil box.
In front of the utensil box was a small screen.
His fingers hesitated on the chopsticks and then turned to the knife and fork.
Mu Le couldn’t help but remind him, “…Why not take both? Wouldn’t that work?”
The young boy who was choosing utensils was taken aback. He quickly turned around and widened his eyes as he looked at the girl standing beside him, “Le-Le-Le-Le—Le le?”
Mu Le: “…”
They hadn’t been apart for long, how did he go from an ordinary math dummy to stuttering?
Kong Yu’an, the little stutterer, looked at her in astonishment, even rubbing his own eyes with the hand that had just chosen the utensils.
His other hand was still holding the tray.
Mu Le calmly reminded him, “Your noodles are getting clumpy.”
Kong Yu’an: “!!!”
Almost instinctively following Mu Le’s words, he chose two sets of utensils and placed them on the tray.
Mu Le walked back with her small chopsticks, and Kong Yu’an followed behind her, mimicking her steps. “How did you come here? Gu Mingyuan said you were coming to school… Did you come to Fuzhong?! Weren’t you only in the third grade of elementary school?”
Mu Le sat down in her seat. “I skipped a grade.”
Kong Yu’an placed his tray next to hers and sat down beside her. After he sat down, he subconsciously looked up at the person across from him.
He had originally planned to just casually glance and then lower his head to continue blabbering nonsense with Mu Le…
But his movement froze. The nonsense stopped.
Gu Mingzhou, who was sitting across from him, had no expression on his face. “Do you know each other?”
Mu Le looked at him with a slightly confused expression as she held her chopsticks. “Don’t you know him?”
Gu Mingzhou and Kong Yu’an have a good relationship, and their younger brothers are of similar age and attend the same school. How could they not know each other?
“I have seen him,” Gu Mingzhou frowned, “What kind of friends are you making that Gu Mingyuan doesn’t even care about you?”
Looking at his expression, Kong Yu’an suddenly remembered what Gu Mingyuan had said before—telling him to stay away from Lele.
…It seems like they are truly a family. Although Gu Mingzhou’s words didn’t imply any disdain towards him, it becomes quite evident when compared to Gu Mingyuan’s words.
Kong Yu’an stood up with a cold face, intending to leave.
However, Mu Le held onto his arm. “Where are you going? Your noodles are clumpy. Don’t wander around.”
The cafeteria was gradually becoming crowded, and going outside might not guarantee finding a clean seat.
Kong Yu’an: “…”
“Don’t be mad at him. He’s just jealous,” Mu Le leaned in closer to Kong Yu’an, lowering her voice. “He doesn’t have any friends himself, so he’s so jealous that his eyes are practically bleeding!”
Kong Yu’an: “…………….” Is that so?
Gu Mingzhou: “…” What are they talking about? The surrounding noise was too loud, and Mu Le’s voice was too soft for him to hear anything.
Kong Yu’an sat back down, somewhat skeptical, and took out his fork to start eating his noodles.
He actually thought that using chopsticks was more convenient for eating noodles, but he wasn’t skilled with them. He didn’t want to appear clumsy in front of this annoying dragon.
Gu Mingzhou, with a disdainful look on his face, surprisingly didn’t say anything further. He continued eating his meal in silence.
When Mu Le finished her children’s meal, the other two boys also finished their lunch.
They exchanged a glance but didn’t say anything.
Mu Le pretended to sigh and said to Gu Minzhou, “Let’s go and return the utensils.”
Gu Mingzhou, with an expressionless face, placed her utensils on top of his own, stacking them together. He held one set in his hand while extending his other hand towards Mu Le.
His face was stern, but his actions were gentle.
Mu Le secretly gave Kong Yu’an a look that said, “Look, he’s so lonely and pitiful,” and extended her small hand to Gu Mingzhou.
Gu Mingzhou held her hand and walked with her towards the area for returning trays.
Kong Yu’an also followed them.
