Although some people were very good at disguising, most could spot some clues about their true nature through spending time together.

Like that demon for example; whether he was possessing Parrish or Ulysses, he looked quite dashing, but he had too many flaws in his acting. If there was a demon academy that taught demon possession, he probably would have failed.

After Dubian had eaten about a quarter of the food, he stopped eating. Anna said, “I need to take the rattan basket back, otherwise my mother may be suspicious.”

Dubian nodded. Anna helped him tidy up the rest of the food and beer, and left it for him to eat during the day tomorrow. She still had a lot of clay pots of light beer at home, so Gaea wouldn’t notice one missing.

Gaea knew that she was back, so Anna could not be away from home for too long. Thus, she restrained her excitement and asked, “Dubian, how long will you stay here to recover?”

Dubian thought for a while, smiled bitterly and said, “My mental disorder is a bit serious, and it will take about two months.”

Anna’s eyes lit up; two months was enough for her.

She sternly said: “In the two months that you are recovering from your injury, I will be responsible for your diet and will help you stay hidden, but in exchange, I hope that you can help me become a mage.”

Dubian was stunned. He looked at Anna’s expectant eyes and subconsciously nodded.

After he recovered his senses, he did not regret it.

Anna gave him a feeling different than most people he had met. In the two days of secret observation, he made a preliminary judgment that she was a trustworthy person. After talking to her now, he was very convinced of this.

“Really?” Anna’s excitement showed on her face.

Dubian was infected by Anna’s emotions and smiled: “Of course. As you said, this is a very good deal.”

Anna very much wanted to pull Dubian aside and ask him to tell her about some common knowledge of the mage world, but she knew that the time was not right, so she endured and said, “Then it’s settled, I’ll head back first, and I’ll come back tomorrow night.”

Anna returned home quietly, and she was so excited that she couldn’t sleep.

She and him were considered to be in a win-win situation; she could learn magic, and he would be assured that she would not betray him because she still had to learn magic from him.

Although she didn’t sleep well the night before, Anna got up energized the next morning.

When she passed through the ruins, she glanced inside. It was quiet and dark inside, and it looked scary enough to prevent others from going in and playing.

Rothgarr found that Anna seemed particularly happy today.

In the past, when she came to bring him food, she always stood quietly, as if she wanted to minimize her presence. Although she still stood quietly today, he felt that she seemed to be a little excited.

What had made her so happy?

Rothgarr didn’t want Anna to have something with Parrish without him knowing it. Therefore, every time Anna brought over Parrish’s breakfast, he always endured his aversion to Parrish and went to Parrish’s residence to wait for Anna in advance. After she left, he would also eagerly leave.

“Have you found someone to teach you to read?” Rothgarr asked nonchalantly.

Anna’s cold sweat broke out in an instant. Did he discover the existence of Dubian?

She remembered that Rothgarr knew about Bobby before, and so it seemed reasonable for him to know that Debian existed.

“Not yet.” Anna tried to be calm. She could not be disorganized. She shook her head, then looked at Rothgarr and said, “Did you change your mind about teaching me?”

Anna swore, she asked this simply to cover up her nervousness and divert the demon’s attention.

But she did not expect that after she asked this, the demon replied: “Indeed.”

Anna was taken aback and looked at the demon in surprise.

But, she had already found a suitable teacher. Why did this demon suddenly change his mind?

What was this? When she tried to find someone to teach her to read, she couldn’t find one. Now that she had found one, another came knocking!

Rothgarr raised his eyebrows slightly. After giving Anna an affirmative answer in a charitable tone, what he wanted was Anna’s grateful, moral response.

And Anna’s reaction was exactly as he expected. After the initial surprise, a smile of joy appeared on her face, and she quickly bowed her head in salute, and said excitedly: “Thank you very much, Honorable Lord Ulysses, you are such a good person! ”

However, from an angle that Rothgarr could not see, Anna showed a very helpless expression.

She could only behave in this way; she couldn’t expose Dubian’s existence, so she had to coax the demon to ensure that he didn’t cause her any trouble while she was studying with Dubian.

She would study seriously with Dubian, and as for the demon, she could just be perfunctory with him. She just didn’t believe that he, a demon who was suspected of being illiterate, could teach better than a real mage.

Rothgarr was very satisfied with Anna’s response.

Anna quickly gave a look of gratitude, and deliberately made her footsteps look lighter when she left.

Humoring a demon was also hard work.
