Such Great Talent (1)

Thinking that she would earn money tomorrow, Anna was a little less frugal when it came to shopping. She bought a whole tender roast goose today, plus some juice to take home.

She had just returned to her residence with a bunch of things in her arms when Givina poked her head out the door of her room. She hurriedly greeted her and said, “Mage Anna, I think I heard some movement in your room today, please be careful when you go in.”

Anna smiled and said, “It’s okay, maybe it’s a mouse. I’ve already been up there just now, and I didn’t find anything unusual.”

Givina just happened to be out and didn’t run into Anna then, so she was relieved to hear this. “Okay, Master Anna.” She noticed that Anna was holding some food, and hurriedly said, “You can eat with us. ”

“It’s alright, I usually eat at the Mage Association, and occasionally want to eat by myself. If I need it, I definitely won’t be courteous to you, Givina.” Anna smiled and said, “Have you been shopping okay recently? If you have any problems, please let me know right away. Making a sleeping potion is very simple for me.”

“I have slept very well recently. I am very grateful to Mage Anna for your kindness. The goddess will definitely bless you!” Givina said with a smile, “I won’t disturb you anymore, you can go back and rest.”

Anna bid goodbye to Givina and went up to the attic.

She suddenly remembered that she hadn’t been to that women’s clothing store for a long time; she could visit in a few days. Going to the line of life and death used up a lot of clothes, and she wanted to buy two more items as backup.

As soon as the door was opened, Anna heard Abel complaining: “What were you talking about downstairs, taking so long!”

Anna ignored him and only asked, “Have you tied yourself up?”

She closed the door and saw that Abel’s feet were already tied with ropes, but it was too difficult to tie his hands by himself, not to mention tying them behind his back.

“I’ll tie myself up when I’m full!” Abel said confidently.

Anna wasn’t being serious anyway when she said that he needed to tie himself up before she left. She sat down on the meditation mat with the food in her arms and slowly set them out.

Abel stared at the food and his eyes almost glowed green. Just when he reached for it, Anna slapped his hands away: “Wash your hands before eating!”

Abel glared at Anna dissatisfied, but stood up and went to the bathroom. He hastily washed his hands, and ran out again, sitting down in front of her, staring at the food.

After Anna set out all the food, she got up to wash her hands. When she came back, Abel had already started eating.

Anna couldn’t bear to look directly at Abel’s fierce look when he was eating. She slowly ate her share, thinking about how to show herself to Mage Dawkins tomorrow.

After dinner, Anna asked Abel to wash his hands and use the bathroom before tying him up. This time Abel’s reaction was not as big as last night, and he watched as Anna tied him very calmly.

When Anna was getting into the meditation position, Abel suddenly asked, “Hey, aren’t you just a civilian? How come you dare to take me in?”

Anna didn’t open her eyes. She replied casually, “Saw how pitiful you are.”

“Who’s pitiful!” Abel said, dissatisfied. Because he was tied up, he could only lie on the ground and stare at Anna, “I have never met someone as bold as you who dared to take me in before.”

“If so, it’s your greatest fortune to have met me. You should be more obedient.” Anna said, “I’m going to meditate, so don’t talk to me anymore.”

Abel stopped talking, but the silence lasted only ten seconds before he said, “Is the Mage Association fun?”

Anna opened her eyes and looked over. Abel seemed to be just asking casually. When Anna looked over, he said indifferently, “I haven’t been to the Mage Association yet, so I was just casually asking.”

As they say, the more one tries to hide, the more one is exposed.

Anna thought of Dubian. He was such a gentle person, but because he was a pure dark elemental, he was hunted down everywhere. She didn’t even know how he was right now, or whether he had successfully reunited with his teacher.

“It’s okay. The Mage Association is not a place to play, but a place to learn.” Anna said, “In the Association, you can meet like-minded partners and make progress together.”

Abel didn’t respond to Anna’s words. He rolled over twice and said, “I’m so bored here alone during the day.”

“That’s the life of a refugee.” Anna said ruthlessly, “If you find it boring you can leave, I certainly won’t stop you.”

Anna didn’t tie Abel up during the day because she didn’t have anything worth stealing at home. In addition, she even vaguely hoped that he would sneak away, so if he died outside, it wouldn’t be her fault. After all, she had tried her best to save him.

But since Abel seemed to be dragging out his stay here, she could only hide him until he was healed.

“I won’t be fooled!” Abel said proudly, “You just want me to leave, don’t you? I won’t go! There’s food and drink here, and I don’t have to run for my life, why would I leave?”

Anna glanced at this overbearing tenant, and reluctantly withdrew her gaze. Fortunately, although this kid doesn’t speak well, he still understood the sense of proportion and would not cause her external trouble. The extent of provoking her was within a range that she could accept.

……Hm? Why does this seem so familiar?

Now that you mention it, wasn’t this how she was with the demon? She was dancing back and forth the border of his bottom line…
