Ruan Qingmu returned to his dorm room. As soon as he pushed the door open, he heard Bai Jing shouting from inside, “Ruan-ge, where did you go to have fun just now? Your card partner waited for you for a long time!”

Ruan Qingmu was stunned. “What?”

The boy on the opposite bed burst out into raucous laughter. “You won’t believe what I’m going to say. Boss Qin came to our door just now begging to play cards. Isn’t that strange?”

Bai Jing sorrowfully sighed. “A top student’s life is truly uninteresting. He probably had never played something fun like this in his entire life and became addicted after playing it only once. So pitiful.”

Ruan Qingmu became frozen on the spot. He suddenly took out his phone from under the pillow at lightning speed. After hesitating for a while, he sent a message. “Did you come upstairs to play cards?”

Qin Yuan’s reply seemed to answer in a matter of seconds. “Mm… Was suddenly feeling idle and bored.”

Ruan Qingmu scratched his ears, not knowing what to say next. He turned his head and asked Bai Jing, “H-He kept on waiting for me?”

Bai Jing laughed. “How could that be? Since you were not here, he partnered up with Fu Songhua. Hahaha. We won against them!”

Ruan Qingmu paused his typing fingers and weakly climbed into bed, suddenly not wanting to care about a certain someone anymore.

The dormitories on the fourth floor were all quadruple rooms. The room he had chosen was already considered a pretty clean one. But despite that, it was still terribly noisy.

The boy who had just won was still not satisfied and continued to shout, “Who wants to play PUBG? Let’s hurry up and play the last game. We will sleep after we finish playing!”

Bai Jing, who slept on Ruan Qingmu’s opposite, casually threw a sock down. “Why don’t you just eat the damn chicken*?! Today is your turn to be on duty. Hurry up and clean up before the lights turn off.”

*T/N:  吃鸡: the combined words mean PUBG; the separate translation of the words means eating chicken.

That boy raised his neck. “Bai Xiaosheng, pat your heart and ask yourself this, didn’t we clean enough for Ruan-ge already? I’m telling you, our room is so spotless, it could practically reflect light.”

Ruan Qingmu stretched out his head from the bed and coldly looked at him. “Have you mopped the floor today?”

The boy said with a bitter face, “Ruan-ge, don’t be like this. With your management, we truly can snatch the hygiene first rank from Fang Li’s dorm.”

Ruan Qingmu was furious and stretched from the bed to reach out to him. “If you dare to be lazy, do you believe it when I say I will cut you?”

Ruan Qingmu even pinched his nose and personally mopped the floor yesterday while this guy dared to sit back and enjoy all of his hard work?!

That boy frantically jumped up and put down his phone. “I’ll go now, I’ll go now. Don’t be angry, Ruan-ge!”

He took the mop from the bathroom and swept it across the room. When Ruan Qingmu wasn’t looking, he hit Bai Jing on the top bunk and said in a whisper, “Jing, what happened? Ruan-ge was obviously still amiable just now. After taking a trip outside, he became fierce when he returned!”

Ruan Qingmu stared at the ceiling and finally couldn’t help but open WeChat, expressionlessly typing out the message, “How’s your new card partner? Did you win or lose?”

Over in dorm 106, Qin Yuan replied after a while, “Not good, not even close to the winnings I reaped with you.”

Ruan Qingmu rolled out of bed, clenched his teeth, and fiercely tapped at the phone with great strength. “The big fool guy won’t do at all. Don’t look for him next time! His math is awful!”

Several walls away, Fu Songhua, who could get 130 points on the math exam, suddenly sneezed loudly.

Inside dorm 106, Qin Yuan, who was lying alone on his bed, stared at the line of threatening words. “Oh, who should I look for then?”

Ruan Qingmu was anxious and acted without thinking things through. “Won’t I do?”

After he finished sending these words, he suddenly felt his face burning red hot and was about to withdraw the message, but the opposite side quickly replied, “Oh…”

Ruan Qingmu resentfully looked at the screen. What did he mean by ‘oh’?!

Finally, Qin Yuan slowly replied after a long time with a serious tone, “Okay, I will only look for you in the future.”

Upstairs, the boy who had just finished mopping the floor suddenly poked Bai Jing quietly again. “Look, Ruan-ge is really acting weird. Just now, he was so fierce and now he’s smiling lewdly at his phone.”

Bai Jing secretly glanced at him. It was true. Ruan Qingmu randomly stomped his feet and it was unknown what he was looking at that made him so happy. Bai Jing lowered his voice. “Don’t talk nonsense. Watch your mouth so that Ruan-ge won’t beat you in the future. Ruan-ge’s smile looks really bright. The only way to describe his smile is that it resembles a small sunflower!”
