“Nonsense!” Wang Lizhi gritted his teeth. “You’re clearly the one who betrayed me!”

“You said I cheated, but who did I cheat with? Can you give a name? But you, on the other hand…” Lu Shijin glanced at Jin Jingyao, sneering, “Your ‘adulterer’ is standing right there. Wang Lizhi, I’ll accept you breaking up with me, but I will not accept these false accusations. I’ve helped you for so long and got you to where you are now, do you need a reminder?”

“Shut up!” Wang Lizhi panicked. He was afraid that Lu Shijin would actually start telling the truth and took a few steps forward to block him, “Stop telling lies! What did you do? I got here all by myself! Don’t think you can slander me!”

“Lu Shijin, speak properly, are you saying that you should have da-Pen’s position?” Jin Jingyao couldn’t help but speak up for Wang Lizhi. “Everyone knows that you only have your current position because of da-Pen’s loyalty!”

“Enough.” Wang Lizhi was afraid that Lu Shijin would actually expose the truth, so he hurriedly pulled Jin Jingyao to leave, “This is between him and me, I’ll deal with it. My apologies for showing something so unsightly to you, let’s go.”

“Wang Lizhi!” Lu Shijin shouted Wang Lizhi’s name coldly, making Wang Lizhi shiver. Lu Shijin then said quietly, “I’ll be waiting for you.”

Wang Lizhi swallowed loudly, loud enough for Jin Jingyao to hear. Jin Jingyao’s lips curled up slightly.

When they returned to their original room, Wang Lizhi hurriedly gulped down a glass of cold water to calm down.

He really regretted going to Lu Shijin’s room. He couldn’t catch the adulterer, and even got into a mess himself. Wang Lizhi really regretted it!

There was also Jin Jingyao. He wasn’t there when he needed him, but popped out when he wasn’t needed. He even gave Lu Shijin a way to make fun of him.

Jin Jingyao smiled gently. “Of course I’ll believe you.”

Then, Wang Lizhi told Jin Jingyao everything.

Of course, he couldn’t say that he was the one who got Lu Shijin to write for him, so he lied that Lu Shijin asked him if he could write for him on this one day he was sick and couldn’t update.

Because of how sick he was at the time, he agreed without thinking much about it. He didn’t expect this one chance to become something Lu Shijin would hold over his head.

He actually didn’t have feelings for Lu Shijin anymore, but everytime he brought up wanting to break up, Lu Shijin would threaten him with exposing the ghostwriting.

So he had to endure it and let Lu Shijin take advantage of him.

But he’d had enough, especially with how Lu Shijin had started cheating on him, he really couldn’t endure it anymore.

Tonight, he clearly saw that Lu Shijin was making out with a man, but he got nothing when he went over to check.

He felt like Lu Shijin would exploit him even more, so he was really helpless.

After hearing this, Jin Jingyao was first silent, then slapped his thigh and said angrily. “What scum! How outrageous! You’re too trusting, how could this kind of trash use you like that? Why didn’t you tell me earlier?”

Wang Lizhi said pitifully, “I was afraid you’d look down on me if I told you. Having someone write for you is the biggest embarrassment for an author.”

“What do you mean?” Jin Jingyao had an empathetic expression. “Everyone makes mistakes, you just have to be sure not to do it again. But isn’t the reason that Lu Shijin can take advantage of you so easily because you’re too soft? Against people like him, you shouldn’t be polite, just expose him to everyone! Make him unable to live in the future!”

“Don’t!” Wang Lizhi pulled on Jin Jingyao’s sleeve. “It’s enough to just get rid of him and stop him from bothering me in the future. After all, I allowed him to do it, it’s my fault.”

“Enough, don’t worry. I’ll take care of this for you.” Jin Jingyao stood up, “I need to go find that scum and have a good talk. If he’s smart, then he should know to stop doing it. Or else I won’t let him go.”

Wang Lizhi was just waiting for Jin Jingyao to do this. With Jin Jingyao backing him, what did he have to fear?

“Thank you, Jingyao.” Wang Lizhi lifted his head and looked at Jin Jingyao with love and gratitude. “Thank you for believing in me and helping me.”

Jin Jingyao smiled comfortingly. “I’ll go talk to him. I won’t let him hurt you no matter what. Just wait here patiently for me.”

Wang Lizhi looked at Jin Jingyao as he left with eyes of hope. Then, he went to the window to see the room Lu Shijin was in.
