Shen Yan wasn’t anxious to explain himself. “Then, do tell. If it were Uncle Guo who was looking to buy the house, why did he talk to your father as if he were a salesperson?”

Luo Shuyan rebutted. “I’m sure he was just contemplating. That was why he kept pointing out the advantages of buying the bungalow. You might think that he was promoting the place to us, while I felt like he was expressing how much he liked the house.”

“Why would Uncle Luo ask for your opinion about the house? He certainly didn’t ask me.” Shen Yan said.

Luo Shuyan replied, “It’s because you had such a stoic expression, no one would dare talk to you.”

“I noticed something else. When you said that you liked the house, Uncle Guo immediately looked towards your father, and your father even nodded.”

“…”

“No matter what, Uncle Guo doesn’t seem like someone who is interested in buying properties. Instead, he seems like someone who is trying to sell properties. If he is, then he’d only ramble on and on about the perks of buying the property to a prospective buyer.” Shen Yan confidently continued, “I’m saying that this is how I feel, and I think Uncle Luo is the one who’s planning to buy the bungalow.”

The answer was clear.

When Shen Yan noticed the change in Luo Shuyan’s expression, he said, “Actually, I found it odd when your father managed to buy a car. Uncle Luo made it seem super easy to buy a car. Uncle isn’t someone who’d exaggerate and lie, so how could he have acted as if CNY140,000 was nothing? And then proceed to borrow money from others to buy the car?
