The Pet's Temptation - Chapter 14
Hae-soo’s face was about to turn redder at the smile with his eyes, but Ha-jin bowed his head as it was. And his lips sank gently over her. With a hot breath, the body temperature of the lips was delivered intact. Hae-soo’s eyelids seemed to tremble, but soon they went down.
The eyes, which were tangled with confusion and worry, disappeared into the eyelids. Instead, his slender arms hugged her neck.
The salty sea breeze engulfed them once more. Hae-soo shook at the tongue and pushed herself into Hajin’s arms without realizing it. Then Ha-jin tightened his arms once again. Her chest crumpled between her thin shirt. At the same time his hand swept off her side.
“Haa!”
A faint groan escaped through the overlapping lips. Ha-jin smiled with his lips folded at the sight of Hae-soo, who immediately responded to his touch. The laughter flushed Hae-soo and she pushed him away. Ha-jin gently let her go and took a step back.
Hae-soo immediately turned from him and swept her red cheeks with her palm. Ha-jin came up to her and took a hot drink out of his coat pocket.
“Drink it.”
“Did you go to buy this?”
What Ha-jin gave was warm soy milk. Hae-soo, who was staring at the soy milk in the glass bottle, looked back at him. Instead of answering, Ha Jin shrugged and opened the bottle cap himself and handed it to her.
“It’s warm.”
She mumbled to herself, her hands wrapped around the glass bottle. Then Ha-jin went behind Hae-soo, spread his cloak on her, and hugged her with both his hands. Hae-soo wrapped in his cloak was startled and turned her head.
“Wh, What are you doing!”
“I think you’re cold.”
Hajin hugged the struggling Hae-soo more tightly and put his chin on top of her head. The height difference was quite large, so he had to bend slightly even after taking such a posture. Therefore, the posture may be uncomfortable, but Ha-jin smiled as if he was comfortable.
Hae-soo struggled for a while, embarrassed by the weight felt on the top of her head, and soon lost strength from her body as if she had given up. Then, she leaned on Hajin, who was holding her, and took a sip of the soy milk she was holding.
Perhaps because she drank warm soy milk, she felt warm in her body, which was cooled by the sea breeze. No, maybe it’s because of Ha-jin’s temperature, not soy milk.
In fact, the latter would be right. A sip of soy milk won’t make the cold go away quickly. However, Hae-soo once again twisted herself, hiding her inner thoughts.
“I drank soy milk and I’m not cold again. Now get out of my way.”
“I can’t do this because I’m cold”
Ha-jin hugged her harder, regardless of Hae-soo’s curt words. She could feel his heart beating in his chest touching her back. But it may be an illusion. It’s ridiculous to feel someone else’s heartbeat when wearing a jacket.
But she felt Ha-jin’s heart beat, and she thought her heart beat the same beat. Pounding. Hae-soo’s hand holding the glass bottle became tense.

“Let’s order a bottle of soju, too.”
Hae-soo interrupted while watching Ha-jin placing an order to the owner of the sushi restaurant. He narrowed his brow and looked at her, and then he obeyed her words. Hae-soo, who was watching the owner who received the order, turned and entered the restaurant, smiled softly.
“I love drinking anyway.”
“The food is good.”
A chewy piece of sashimi and a glass of soju. After that, spicy fish stew soup and a glass of soju. What better combination is there?
While Hae-soo replied regardless of Ha-jin’s words, the owner returned and began to set the table. Seeing that the soju was served before the flatfish sashimi, she exclaimed and quickly reached out to the soju bottle. However, Ha-jin took the soju bottle first and opened the lid.
“Don’t drink too much. Your stomach must be upset because you drank yesterday, too.”
“That’s why I have to drink more. Hangover is a hangover cure. Don’t you know?”
She responded to his words with a smile. Ha-jin glanced at Hae-soo’s smiling face and filled the glass in front of her. Hae-soo, who was looking at the glass, spoke slowly.
“That’s funny.”
“What?”
“I had a drink last night and I thought I’d fall for it again.”
Contrary to the word funny, there was no laughter in her. Ha-jin stared at Hae-soo and opened his mouth.
“Are you saying you slept with me while you were drunk?”
“…….”
“Then don’t drink today.”
Ha-Jin took the glass in front of Hae-soo to his front. Hae-soo opened her eyes wide in dismay at his sudden action. He emptied the two cups in front of her one by one and stared straight at her.
“Sex with a normal mind.”
“……Ha-Jin.”
“Don’t make excuses like that. Aren’t we supposed to spend a week like that?”
Hae-soo couldn’t answer Ha-jin’s comment. She lowered her eyes to avoid his gaze. Then she hesitated for a moment, then sighed and began to speak.
“I didn’t know Kang Ha-jin was this simple. Good for you, puppy. Everything is so simple.”
“You don’t have to be complicated. It’s just, it’s just a week. If it had been the way it was, we wouldn’t have traveled together like this. It’s just a week.”
A week like that.
Hae-soo muttered casually as she listened to Ha-jin. He is right. It’s a week that wouldn’t have existed as it was. The man next to her now had to be Seo Dong-Myeong, not Kang Ha-jin. But the situation twisted in an unexpected direction, and the man with her now was Ha-jin.
It’s also Ha-jin whom she had a relationship with last night.
Without realizing it, she put strength into her thighs. The feeling that he had entered deep into her body came alive. She hurriedly picked up the cup next to her, feeling something clumped up in her stomach. She felt a little better after gulping cold water at once.
At that moment, the owner came up with a large plate. He brought the flatfish sashimi that she had ordered. Hae-soo raised her voice in a slightly exaggerated tone with a sense of relief.
“Wow, it looks so delicious. Let’s hurry up and eat.”
It’s already done on impulse. But she wanted to turn a blind eye to what she had done. She knew she couldn’t, but what she wanted to avoid was her own honest feelings.
And as if he had read her mind, Ha-jin looked at Hae-soo quietly, sighed a little, and raised his chopsticks. Hae-soo was relieved and picked up a piece of sashimi.
Despite the chewy texture, somehow she didn’t feel the taste.
