The Pet's Temptation - Chapter 49
…She wondered what this situation had to do with her life.
“I think I’m just getting lazy.”
Hae-soo sat dazed on the bed and murmured. Then she laughed quietly.
“But, well, it’s not bad.”
She opened a list of songs stored on her phone, played the first song that caught her eye, and then stepped down to the bed. The husky woman’s voice awakened the languid morning.
Hae-soo’s wet face after a simple shower in the bathroom was fresh. It was all thanks to enough sleep, play and love. She wore the underwear that Ha-Jin had taken off, no, last night, and wore a thin gown over it.
At that moment, a cell phone rang. Hae-soo checked the caller ID and laughed quietly.
“Did he really put up CCTV?”
How did he know she woke up and thus called? She answered the phone in wonder.
“Yes.”
[Are you up? I didn’t wake you up, did I?]
“I just woke up. Are you watching me with CCTV?”
Hae-soo joked. Then, she heard Ha-jin laughing over the cell phone. The laughter seemed to spread a dull heat deep inside the body. She coughed, rubbing her other hand which was not holding her cell phone, around her neck.
[Did you catch a cold?]
“No, I just have a sore throat.”
Hae-soo made an excuse in a hurry because she was afraid that Ha-jin might find out what she was feeling. Then, Ha-jin continued the conversation again to see if her words were true.
[Since we’re talking about it, should we fix a CCTV? My work isn’t going well because I miss Min Hae-soo during work hours.]
“Are you crazy? What’s wrong with you? You won’t let me joke around. Work hard.”
Hae-soo, who was surprised at the words said with such a serious tone, raised her voice. Ha-jin giggled like a naughty boy at her reaction. Even though it was obvious that she said that on purpose, she was embarrassed to see herself falling for it.
After finishing her phone call with Ha-jin, she came out of the kitchen while using her hands as a fan to cool off her cheeks. A bag of bread, apparently bought by Ha-jin, was calmly placed on the table. Maybe because it was freshly baked in the morning, it was soft when she ate it.
“Well… what shall I do today? Clean up?”
Hae-soo looked around the house and talked to herself while eating bread with her hands. Her clothes and things were all over the living room and bedroom. It was to the extent that anyone would mistake it for Hae-soo’s house.
“It’s not an illusion, but it’s definitely what anyone would think. Ha-Jin looks like he has more of my stuff than his stuff.”
Of course, there will be more of his in reality. In the case of Ha-jin, who is good at organizing, he keeps his clothes or things neatly in his closet or storage space, while she has a habit of taking out everything in front of her and using it.
Hae-soo turned red. Come to think of it, it was because she thought it had been several days since she had not returned to her house.
Ha-jin, who came to her home late at night, didn’t want to go back alone, so she woke up her parents and packed her belongings, and since then she’s been staying at his house. Even though her house is right next door, she’s not been there, so she thought it was amazing in a way.
“Yeah. I’ll clean both houses today.”
If Ha-jin knew, he would tell her not to do it. Hae-soo wrinkled her nose and immediately shrugged her shoulders.
***
“Oh, my….”
Hae-soo almost laid down on the sofa and groaned. After cleaning the two houses, she felt like it would be hard to lift a finger because she lost all her strength.
“But I still have to wash up and change.”
She glanced down at the sweaty shirt and grunted herself back up. Ha-jin will leave work soon, but she couldn’t show this to him.
“…It’s funny, too.”
Hae-soo was heading to the bathroom and smiled awkwardly at herself. She never cared so much when she was dating Dong-Myeong. Since he was a friend since college, it was awkward to act ‘pretty’ in front of him, and on the other hand, she thought that even if she dressed up like that, Dong-Myeong wouldn’t recognize her.
“I was like a fool.”
She’s even tried to spend her life with such a man. That day, the woman’s escape with Dong-Myeong was a huge gift for Hae-soo.
She grinned and shook her head, then went into the bathroom and undressed. She put all her sweaty clothes in the laundry basket and left them under the cool stream of water in the shower booth. Thanks to the pouring water, the fatigue of the body seemed to be relieved.
“Oh, that’s good….”
“What if you like it alone? We should be happy together.”
“……!”
Hae-soo put shampoo foam on her head and raised her head in surprise at the sudden voice. Standing in front of the door of the shower booth, she made eye contact with Ha-jin, who was smiling.
“You, how can you, already…….”
“I left the office and came home right away.”
Ha-jin answered gently as if he knew what questions Hae-soo was about to ask. At the same time, his eyes glanced down through her body. Hae-soo realized only then that she was naked and hurriedly covered her chest and bottom with both hands. Then, shampoo bubbles fell from the hair that could not be rinsed.
“Oh!”
It was hard to keep her eyes open because the foam was in her eyes. As soon as Hae-soo was embarrassed and tried to rub her eyes, Ha-jin came into the shower booth and washed the bubbles that flowed over her eyes.
“Thank you… Hey! Your clothes are all wet!”
Hae-soo tried to say thank you to Ha-jin, but when she saw him soaked, she hurriedly tried to push him away. But Ha-jin was not easily pushed out. Rather, he reached out on the spot to wash her hair.
“I’m going to wind it up. Get out of here.”
“I’ll wash you.”
