“Hae-soo.”

“Father.”

Her father’s voice calling her barely brought her to her senses. Hae-soo managed to relax at her father’s warm gaze and held his hand.

“Live well. Live twice as well as others.”

Listening to her father’s request, she looked ahead. Ha-jin, who was preparing for the entrance, looked back to see as if he felt her gaze.

At that moment, all the scenery except him disappeared. Including some of the guests who stood near the entrance of the hall without entering the ceremony and whispered about her second wedding; and the former office workers who were her former colleagues.

She couldn’t even recognize the existence of her father next to her. She just looked at Hajin. Hajin also looked at her and smiled faintly.

“The groom, enter!”

In line with the host’s voice, Ha-jin turned his head and strode inside. Hae-soo stared at his back.

Her heart pounded for his fearless appearance. Ha-jin surged ahead without hesitation in promoting marriage to Hae-soo. Even his parents, who were once dissatisfied, raised their hands.

-I don’t know about Ye-jin, but I believed that Ha-jin wouldn’t bother us forever. That’s how much he likes you. He’s been following you since he was young. If I knew this would happen, I should have taken you as my daughter-in-law sooner.

Hae-soo remembered that Ha-jin’s mother had secretly called her to a corner and grumbled with lamentation, approving their marriage.

-I didn’t object because I hated you. Hae-soo, it’s not like I don’t know you’re smart and kind, but that’s how parents feel. Even a hedgehog thinks, my baby is pretty, and in the eyes of the parents, their child is the best, so no matter how good someone else’s child is, they look worse than their own. I think it’s the same at your house, too. Didn’t they say that Ha Jin is far from perfect compared to you?

Ha-jin’s mother apologized to Hae-soo. She apologized several times, holding her hand, and saying she was sorry for hurting her. In fact, she didn’t deserve such an apology. Even worse, Hae-soo was prepared for opposition, so she was puzzled.

A smile spread across Hae-soo’s face. If she cried now, her makeup would be ruined, but her eyes became wet without her realizing it.

“Bride, come on in!”

People welcomed her with a warm round of applause. Following the host’s additional words, a loud applause sounded in the hall. Hae-soo smiled brightly, and slowly moved forward holding her father’s hand.

Towards the man who was waiting for her inside.

Toward their future where happiness and love will double.

“I wonder who isn’t a puppy. Either way, dad and kids… All three of you, raise your hands!”

“Oh, honey, am I getting a punishment too? Come on, that’s not it. I have to save my face as the father, you know.”

“A man who cares about his face as a father gets in trouble and causes trouble just like the kids? That’s not why I asked you to buy a house with a yard!”

Hae-soo looked at Hajin. Then, Ha-jin smiled awkwardly, as they were covered in dirt, then he quickly ran away, holding the twins by his sides.

“Honey! Twin Daddy! Hey, Kang Ha-jin!”

Hae-soo laughed while watching three muddy puppies run away. Then, with a tough expression, she ran toward the three hidden puppies who were hiding in a corner of the yard.

“Guys, if you don’t come by the time I count to three, there’ll be no dinner! And you too! If you don’t come until the count of three, you’re going to sleep alone in the studio tonight.”

“Oh! Wait! That’s mean, Min Hae-Soo. You said you were off for a while! You said you’re taking a rest! And then you’re going to make me sleep alone again?”

Ha-jin popped out and protested. Along with him, the twins also popped out, “Right! Mom, you’re so mean!” Hae-soo looked back at the twins who approached her and were also shouting loudly.

“I can’t do this, guys! Let’s get back at her!”

“Yes!”

“Let’s get revenge!”

“Ah! What? Stop it!”

Hae-soo fell before the attack of the twins who were instigated by their father. The children acted cute in their mother’s arms, wondering when they had vowed revenge. Hae-soo laughed as if she couldn’t help it, covered in dirt. Ha-jin, who was watching the scene, hugged her and the children at once and said,

“Now that you’re covered in dirt, you should be punished, right?

“What?”

“How about a deep kiss?”

His lips came together after his words. A smile bloomed over his lips that were held together lightly. And it didn’t even matter who came first, their lips overlapped once again, nevertheless.

It was a raucous finish, as always.

“I can’t help it. It’s the price of raising a puppy.”

Hae-soo murmured to herself.
