The orange evening light streamed in from outside the window, illuminating the room fantastically. With the Barriers gone, the sky had changed from dim and hazy to clear and beautiful.

The very first star could be seen shining in the flickering evening sky.

Gilbert picked me up and carried me to the bed.

Gilbert-sama said with a voice that contained a smile.

I was so happy that I put my arms around his neck and hugged him as hard as I could.

“I’m going to be the perfect beautiful girl and a good companion for you, but when we’re… alone, may I spoil you a little?”

“Oh, by all means do so.”

“I love you… Gilbert-sama.”

I was embarrassed and felt as if I was a little girl again.

It’s a shame that I couldn’t even say I love you. I didn’t know that it was as heartbreakingly happy and equally embarrassing to express my feelings.

When I lowered my eyes, our lips met.
