Gulp.

I was nervous to the point where the sound of swallowing dry saliva felt like thunder.

I had experienced card shuffling thousands of times while I was playing <W.A.G>, but I had never been this nervous about it.

What I was hoping for was very slight and small.

‘Something plain! I just need an A rank tank!’

This wasn’t just me daydreaming for something impossible; it was a hope with some grounds that it would happen.

This game has 1024 destiny cards, but one of the three cards that are selected is guaranteed to have a melee physical alignment.

‘And the average rank of these three cards is B.’

I was sure.

I knew that there was an implicit rule only for the first card shuffling. 

At least one card had to be from the melee physical card set because it guaranteed an easy playthrough.

Not many people knew about it, but this was the implicit rule of the first shuffling.

‘It means that even the guys from Godsoft have at least a minimal conscience for the beginners.’

Since the staff of <A World Abandoned by God> weren’t stupid, they created the first step this way.

…Though that doesn’t change the fact that they are crazy people who give random classes to players. 

The rotation of the stars slowly came to halt.

And I saw three unusually shiny cards.

I opened my eyes widely.

Those cards were the ones that were going to decide my destiny.

Though I guess it wouldn’t be that bad if a useful B rank came out as well.

‘But since it’s coming out anyways, I would be really thankful if a S rank came out!’

Which card would the world give me, an NPC and not the main character?

The moment that the three destiny cards from the night sky flipped in turn.

I doubted my eyes.

The chance of an EX rank destiny card, which is the highest tier, appearing was less than 0.01%.

But now, it appeared in front of me.

It was the first time I have received this card at the beginning of the game.

A sudden thought sparkled in my mind while I was still trying to comprehend the situation.

‘Is this because I’m an NPC and not a player character?’

Maybe that had an effect.

I didn’t know the reason, but the body I was in right now was a body of an NPC called ‘Guillaume Balt’

Unlike a character that a player creates, this NPC had background and lineage. 

So, maybe the talent of a mage from the royal family of the Magic Empire interfered with the selection of destiny cards.

According to the original setting, the people of Balt imperial family were talented mages.

Anyways, that’s that.

‘What should I do?’

I swallowed hard and looked at the three cards in front of me.

Of course my gaze was instinctively fixed onto the EX rank card.
