Transmigrated into the Cannon Fodder's Daughter - Chapter 24.1

Li Qianfei yelled at the police officer, “Why are you arresting him?”
“He violated state regulations and hacked into the national computer information system,” the leader said. He frowned at Li Qianxing, who only had time to forcefully shut down the computer. “Take him away.”
Li Qianfei’s mind was filled with confusion. She wanted to jump over to stop the police officer, but after seeing the handcuffs he took out, she shrunk back, as if remembering something.
Panic was visible on Li Qianxing’s face. He looked as if he had fallen into a nightmare.
Qianxing, who was hauled away, said to Li Qianfei, “Call Dad. Don’t let Mom know.”
He came home because he wanted to surprise his mother, so he didn’t want her to know about his arrest. He didn’t want her to be shocked. As for Li Nanjue, Qianxing was positive his father could get him out quickly.
Although Li Qianxing had contacts, they were all organizations that couldn’t help him publicly. He had faith that his father could get him released after a few days, hence Qianxing’s expression was calm and composed.
After listening to him, Li Qianfei regained her senses and bit her lower lip. She immediately took out her mobile phone with shaking hands and started dialing a number.

Li Qianxing’s arrest alerted Li Xiao and Qu Lian, who were in the garden.
The family chef, Mrs. Li, was visibly nervous. “Madame Li, hurry and bring Young Master home. He’s been arrested.”
Initially, Mrs. Li was an ordinary nanny. Since she used to be Zhan Jiayin’s neighbour, she was hired by the Li family and could easily get a high salary just by cooking three meals a day. It could be said that Mrs. Li’s position was the same as that of Zhan Jiayin and the others, and she was naturally afraid that something would happen to Li Qianxing.
When Mrs. Li mentioned the identities of the ones who arrested him, Qu Lian’s face morphed dramatically.
“What did Qianxing do? He hacked into the national computer system?” Qu Lian repeated those words, inhaling a breath of cold air. This was a serious charge.
Although Qu Lian had the idea of having her son give her more grandchildren, the Li family currently only had one grandson, Qianxing. The other golden grandsons were still missing, so of course, she couldn’t let anything happen to the only seedling.
Qu Lain immediately called her son and requested him to hurry and save Qianxing.
Li Xiao remained silent. She somewhat knew what was going on. It couldn’t be related to Jiang Chao, could it? If Jiang Chao had released the information, then Li Qianxing would be on the state’s radar. It would have been fine if Li Qianxing had remained still, but he didn’t. It was normal for him to be taken away if he had done something wrong. Li Qianxing deserved it.
After making the call, Qu Lian was no longer in the mood to stroll around the garden, so she asked Li Xiao to push her wheelchair back to the living room. When Li Xiao returned to the living room, she saw Li Qianfei sitting on the sofa, lost in her own thoughts.
At ten o’clock in the evening, Li Nanjue returned home. He seemed exhausted. He had slaved himself over that son of his for a while.
“Dad, what’s going on with Older Brother?” Li Qianfei anxiously asked.
Li Nanjue’s expression turned slightly dark. “I asked around my friend. Qianxing made a big mistake this time.” Despite desperately trying to be patient, anger still leaked form Nanjue’s voice. “He hacked into the national computer system. What was he trying to do?”
Unconsciously, Li Qianfei shrank back, unwilling to tell the truth. She regretted encouraging her brother to investigate her mother’s situation. She’d effectively tossed him to the wolves.
Qu Lian was observing Li Qianfei and noticed her guilty expression. Qu Lian raised her voice. “Fei Fei, tell me. Do you know anything?”
Her shout caused all eyes to be drawn to Li Qianfei.
Li Qianfei shook her head with all her might. “I don’t know. I really don’t know!”
But her guilty expression gave her away.
“So you don’t want to say? If you don’t want to talk, get out of this house. Things have already reached this point, and you still won’t say anything. Do you want to get your brother killed?” Qu Lian gnashed her teeth.
Li Qianfei paled. She choked out through her wracked sobs and sniffles, “Older Brother said he wanted to investigate who framed Mom,”
Her confession allowed Li Nanjue to understand everything. His eyes darkened. “Several accounts on Weibo were deleted before. He did it, right?”
Nanjue’s son was shockingly smart, and he had always taken pride in that. But he hadn’t thought his son would have dared to do something so presumptuous. And Qianxing intended to help his mother?
If Qianxing used these tactics in a trade war, Li Nanjue would’ve been ecstatic. But he used his skills for such a trivial matter. This type of problem could be solved with just a small fortune.
As he looked at his daughter’s expression, he realized the answer to his question.
Words were lodged in his throat as he trembled uncontrollably.
Qu Lian almost fainted. “Just for this? Your mother is a jinx. Her reputation is notorious, and she just had to drag Qianxing down with her. Can’t she see our family having a good time?”
Qu Lian regretted letting the walking calamity through the door.
“No, Mom doesn’t know. Older Brother did it on his own,” Li Qianfei sobbed.
In her anger, Qu Lian slapped Li Qianfei. “Are you dumb? Why didn’t you stop your brother? You’re not the one who encouraged your brother, are you? Li Qianxing has always been well-behaved, so how could he do such a reckless thing by himself? You truly are your mother’s daughter.”
It seemed that Qu Lian forgot the benefits that Li Qianfei’s good fortune had brought her in the past. Instead, her chest was filled with righteous indignation.
Qu Lian’s face was clouded. “Where is your mother? Qianxing has been arrested, and she’s still in the mood to film? Is filming that important? More important than her own son?”
Li Qianfei wiped her tears. “Older Brother didn’t want me to tell Mom. He said he didn’t want her to be worried and scared.”
“Auntie is strong. She wouldn’t be scared easily. Grandma is the one who can’t be frightened at her age.” Li Xiao nonchalantly added.
These words caused Qu Lian’s expression to change.
In Qianxing’s heart, there was only his mother. There was no room for Qu Lian. If she was relying on her grandson, her anger would get the best of her. Now, her originally vague thoughts solidified.
Li Qianfei wasn’t in the mood to berate Li Xiao. In her heart, her brother was the most important person to her mother and her.
“Dad, I’ll go beg our godfathers.” Li Qianfei told Li Nanjue.
Li Qianfei had two powerful godfathers who loved her very much. It would be easy for her to go and beg. She just hadn’t thought of it before because Qianxing’s arrest was so sudden.
Thinking of them, Li Qianfei’s mood improved.
Li Nanjue nodded. “Let’s work hard.” Even if he was disappointed in his son, he still had to find a way to fish him out of prison.
Li Qianfei spoke firmly as if trying to convince herself. “It won’t be a problem. I’ve been lucky since I was a child, and I can turn good fortune into a great fortune, so I’m sure I’ll be able to protect my brother.”
Li Xiao tapped her forehead. Her fingers gently slid over her eyes and opened Heaven’s Eye. She would easily be tired if her Heaven’s Eye was open the entire day, so she only opened it when she needed to. And just now, she’d felt a strange fluctuation.
