Escaping the Archduke of the North's Obsession - Chapter 111.1
After the intense kiss they shared, Isabella removed her slightly swollen lips from his and whispered. “Why do you need a wish coupon when you can kiss me like this any time?”
“We have one month left before our marriage, Isabella. I can’t think of anything else to do besides kissing you.” Duke Kyar murmured huskily.
Warmth flushed Isabella’s cheeks when she finally understood the meaning behind his words.
“Well, we can only do that after getting married. Should we do something else that only lovers can do aside from that?”
“What else do you want to do?”
“I heard that you wanted to do many things when you finally date someone.”
Isabella nodded in agreement.
“Okay, so shall we go to the market today? I want to go to the market with you.”
“Market? Not there.”
Isabella narrowed her eyes in confusion when Duke Kyar said no.
“What? Why?”
“Believe me. It’s not going to work. Is there anything else you want to do? You said you wanted to go on a picnic last time, didn’t you? Should we go on a picnic?”
Isabella smiled at his suggestion.
“Yes. I would like to have a picnic with Your Highness, too.”
It was strange that the Archduke refused to go to the market with her, but she didn’t think much of it.
She wasn’t aware that the market was in the midst of preparations for the upcoming festival.

Isabella began preparing for the picnic once she returned from the castle.
After changing into a simpler cotton dress for the first time in a while, Isabella wore a wide hat to cover her face from the sunlight.
When Ignis heard Isabella humming a tune as she packed, he flew towards Isabella and asked, “What are you so excited about, Isabella?”
“I’m going on a picnic with His Highness.”
“Picnic? I want to go, too! It’s been a long time since I got out of Rubella Castle!” Ignis begged, and Isabella decided not to leave him behind.
“Yes! You can come with me, Ignis.”
Isabella wanted to inform Duke Kyar of Ignis’ company during their picnic, but the communication bracelet wasn’t on her wrist.
“Oh, right.”
She left the communication bracelet in the kitchen while she and Kyle baked a cake for His Highness.
“I needed to go to the kitchen.”
Leaving her bedroom, Isabella went down to the kitchen to pack the food she had already requested for the picnic.
But when she entered the place, she witnessed Mark talking to the chef with a serious look on his face.
It had been a long time since she had faced Marc.
He looked exhausted.
Maybe, he had to do a lot of work these days.
“Long time no see, Marc.” Isabella greeted him.
He looked embarrassed when he turned to look at her.
“My Lady. How have you been?”
Marc made eye contact with the chef as he spoke and hid the parchment he was holding behind him.
“I’m doing well. You must be busy these days that I hardly see your face around here.”
“Oh, no.” He fixed his gaze on Isabella. “Everything is fine.”
“Really? You look tired, though.” Isabella tilted her head as she looked at him. “I’m worried about your well-being. Come and see me later, Marc. I’ll give you medicine that would help you recover from fatigue.”
Marc avoided her gaze as if he was hiding something. “Thank you for your concern, My Lady. Then, I’ll be on my way.”
“Are you here to pick up the food you requested earlier?” The chef asked, and Isabella shifted her attention from Marc towards him.
“Yes. I’m also here to get my bracelet.”
“Bracelet?”
“I’ll find it myself. Could you please put the food for the picnic in the basket?”
“Yes, My Lady.”
After talking to the chef, Isabella went to the location where she had previously taken off her bracelet.
She remembered placing it in the kitchen drawer before she washed her hands.
Fortunately, it was there.
She wore the bracelet on her wrist and approached the chef, who was busy storing food in the picnic basket.
“Here you go, My Lady.”
“Thank you.”
After receiving the basket and thanking the chef, Isabella exited the kitchen.
When she climbed the stairs to return to her room, she saw Luches talking to a couple of servants in a hush.
She was about to greet Luches, but as soon as their eyes met, he immediately ushered the servants to another place.
“What’s wrong with him?”
Marc and Luches seemed a bit strange today.
Were they avoiding her on purpose?
“Did I do something wrong?”
“What did you do wrong, Isabella?”
Upon hearing Duke Kyar’s voice from the turquoise jewel, Isabella glanced down at the communication bracelet in surprise.
“What? Never mind that, Your Highness. Where are you now?”
“I’m in your room. How about you? Where were you?”
Perhaps, Duke Kyar was too impatient to see her that he had visited her bedroom while she was in the kitchen.
“I was in the kitchen to pack some food for our picnic.”
“Just get the servants to do that for you if it’s too bothersome.”
“The chef had prepared all the food I asked for, so I’m not bothered. I’m heading to my room, so please wait a moment.”
Going on a picnic with the Archduke made Isabella as giddy as a child.
Unfortunately, she didn’t have time to have a lot of dates with him because she was too occupied with the wedding preparations.
