Escaping the Archduke of the North's Obsession - Chapter 110.2
As soon as he heard that, Duke Kyar got out of Isabella’s bedroom and hurried straight to the kitchen.
“Right! You’re doing excellent, Kyle!”
“Really?”
Isabella and Kyle stopped talking as soon as they saw him there.
One of the kitchen staff, pleased to see Kyle and Isabella’s efforts, paused upon seeing the Archduke.
He laid a finger over his lips, urging Duke Kyar to remain quiet as Isabella and Kyle continued to bake the cake.
The two were highly focused on their task that they didn’t even notice him there.
“Oh! It slipped. What do I do?” Kyle, who was currently decorating the cake with icing, whispered.
“It’s alright. No one can tell that you made a mistake at all. It’s your first time, but you’re already doing great.” Isabella encouraged Kyle and showed her a ‘thumbs-up.’
Kyle smiled shyly, appreciating the compliment, and then went back to decorating the cake.
“I’m done. Do you think it looked alright?”
Kyle asked Isabella as he put the piping bag of cream on the table.
“Yes, it’s so pretty, Kyle! I’m sure His Highness will love it.”
Duke Kyar had no idea when they started baking that cake, but their faces and clothes were now covered with white flour.
The Archduke slowly approached the two.
“So the two of you had become quite close without me, huh.” Duke Kyar’s comment jolted their attention away from their masterpiece.
“Your Highness!”
“Uncle!”
They spun around and addressed him in unison, hoping they could hide the white cake behind them.
The cake wasn’t as fancy and colorful as a patisserie had baked, but Duke Kyar loved it more because the two most important people in his life made it with all their hearts.
“Is that my birthday cake? The two of you did a great job.” The Archduke praised them.
Isabella and Kyle’s palms met in a high-five before exhaling a relieved sigh.
Duke Kyar smiled when the two burst into peals of laughter.

After Duke Kyar blew the candles on the cake and ate his lunch with her and Kyle, the three of them went to the Teleport Tower to see Kyle off since he would return to the Academy this afternoon.
Isabella handed the medicine she prepared for Kyle in regret before she bade him goodbye.
Duke Kyar smirked at Isabella, who couldn’t take his eyes off the boy until he finally entered the Teleport tower.
“You will see him again on his next school vacation, so why are you so sad?” Duke Kyar asked, and Isabella scratched her cheek awkwardly.
“I guess I just missed the child since I hadn’t seen him for a long time.”
“Yes, I remember that you adored him in the past. You helped him increase his power and celebrated his birthday, too, am I right?”
Duke Kyar wanted Isabella to confirm if what he had seen in his dream was correct.
“Yes.” Glancing up at him, Isabella asked cautiously. “Are you alright now, Your Highness?”
Was he comfortable talking about their memories now, or was she mistaken?
“What?” He asked calmly.
Still, Duke Kyar didn’t want Isabella to know that he had finally remembered everything from his dreams.
“You’re still very confused, aren’t you? I’m sure you were afraid, Your Highness. Now that you’ve figured out that I’ve caused your death—-”
“I’m not afraid of that at all, Isabella. Even if I go through the same thing now, I would be happy to die for you.”
“Don’t say that again, Your Highness.” Isabella quickly clutched his arm in a panic.
“Alright, I promise that I will never die on you.”
Her blue eyes looked fearful when she insisted, “You must keep that promise.”
“Yes.” Looking deep into her eyes, he spoke in a subdued voice. “Don’t look at me like that anymore, Isabella.”
Isabella’s blank gaze appeared like she was recalling some past events, and she didn’t like that Isabella was thinking about his past self again.
It was a man who wasn’t him.
“Rather than being confused, I am more jealous of my past self.” Duke Kyar explained.
Isabella’s blue eyes widened at his honest confession.
“You might think I’m being immature. But I don’t want to lose to the old me when it comes to loving you.”
He said, covering Isabella’s face with his big hands. “I’ll do a better job than that. I’ll love you more. So please love me more than you used to love me in the past, too.”
Isabella nodded, blushing hard.”
“—-and give me a wish coupon, too.” He whined.
Isabella smiled.
“Of course, your letter was also touching!”
At that moment, Isabella’s fingers spread on his broad shoulders.
Standing on tiptoe, she kissed his lips when he lowered his head at the same time.
His mouth parted at the touch of her soft lips.
Wrapping an arm around Isabella’s back, he curled his tongue as he penetrated the gap.
Their sweet yet ardent kiss continued for a long time.
