Escaping the Archduke of the North's Obsession - Chapter 110.1
Helena took her eyes off the papers she was looking at and saw Isabella sigh at the corner.
“Why are you doing that here?” Helena asked and Isabella glanced at her with panic.
“What?”
“Don’t you think you should spend the day with His Highness? We have nothing important to do today, so you can go see the Archduke.” Helena replied.
Isabella flashed her an awkward smile.
She wanted to go to Duke Kyar right away, but she also wanted to give him enough time to think alone.
Frankly, he must be baffled now.
Suppressing her desire to visit him, Isabella looked at the research institute’s architectural designs that Seria had sent her recently.
Then, she chose a similar design to the old laboratory she had in the past, but she also made it a point to look at it again before sending her final choice to Seria.
Poring over these architectural designs wasn’t as easy as she thought.
When she heard a sudden knock on the door, Isabella turned her head to see Kyle opening the door carefully before entering.
Isabella got up from the sofa to welcome him into the room. “Kyle!”
“Can you give me a moment?” Kyle asked, and Isabella glanced at Helena.
Mrs. Constantine nodded and got up from the sofa with the documents.
“I’ll be in my room examining these papers so you two can talk in private.”
“Thank you, Helena.”
Isabella approached Kyle immediately.
“Have you been in the woods the entire time? Did you eat breakfast already?”
“Yes, I washed up and had a simple meal. Anyway, do you know what’s wrong with uncle?” Kyle asked Isabella worriedly. “I was about to give him a present, but he said he wanted to be alone to think about things.”
“Really? Were you able to give him your present, though?”
“Yes, but I’m still concerned about him.”
“I guess His Highness had a lot of things to think about alone,” Isabella replied evasively since she couldn’t bring herself to tell Kyle about all the details.
“You and uncle didn’t fight, did you?”
“No! You don’t have to worry about that.”
“I don’t want you and uncle to fight on his birthday because I still wanted to have dinner with you before I returned to the academy,” Kyle said sadly, and Isabella felt terrible for the boy.
“Then shall we make a cake for the Archduke and visit him afterward?”
“What?”
“We will make a cake for his birthday celebration and fetch him in his bedroom.”
Isabella wanted to celebrate the Archduke’s birthday with Kyle, and she didn’t want such a special event to pass like this.
“What do you think?” She asked, and a wide grin spread across Kyle’s face.
“You know what? I haven’t tried baking a cake before, but I’ll try my best to help.” Kyle said with clenched fists and burning determination.
Isabella’s eyes twinkled in delight.

Grand Duke Kyar, who opened the nutritional supplements Isabella gave and took out the letter, slowly read the letter.

Happy birthday, Archduke.
I’m so happy to celebrate your birthday, and I hope today is your most relaxing day too, Your Highness.
There are so many things I wanted to say, but all of them were thrown out of the window every time I tried to write them down.
But since I’m writing this letter, I wanted to tell you this.
Thank you so much for existing in this world.
You are the most precious gift I have ever received, and I’m grateful for that.
Despite your imperfections, I’m still happy to have someone like you in my life.
You know that I love you so much, right?
I will try to express my feelings more in the future, so you don’t have to be anxious.
Don’t be jealous anymore, my beloved Archduke.
I will love you for eternity.

A smile had spread across Duke Kyar’s face while he was reading the letter because it felt like he could hear Isabella’s lovely voice whispering in his ear.
Her sincere love letter never failed to make his heart sing and his soul fly from giddiness.
Had she confessed her love to him in the past?
Duke Kyar shook his head when he felt his jealousy rear its ugly head again.
He should handle those negative emotions better than his former self so that Isabella would love him more.
Duke Kyar didn’t want to lose to the past him.
After that inner monologue, he kept Isabella’s letter in his desk drawer and exited the bedroom to head straight toward Isabella’s chamber, but she wasn’t there.
Where else did she go?
Recalling Isabella’s face, Duke Kyar glanced down at his communication bracelet.
However, it did not respond.
“She must have taken off the bracelet.” Duke Kyar muttered, frowning.
Then, he pulled a rope, and a loud cling-clang of bells sent the nearby maids running towards him.
“Where is Isabella?”
All of the maids threw curious glances at each other as if they had no idea her whereabouts.
Suddenly, a maidservant raised her hand in the silence.
I saw her in the kitchen with Master Kyle, Your Highness.”
“The kitchen?”
“Yes, they were baking a cake.”
