I Became a Guide For My Childhood Friend - Chapter 111.1
Until just recently, Yernia thought it would be difficult for her to bring up those words, but they unexpectedly came out at the most unexpected moment. Cassian persistently stared at Yernia’s face as it gradually turned red. Even though Yernia felt embarrassed and tried to hide her face in her hands, Cassian blocked her, forcing her to face him.
“Is that really… what you wanted to say?”
“What? What do you mean?”
“Why do you look so adorable with your cheeks covered in flour, huh? Love?”
“……”
She had only said the words ‘I love you’ but the atmosphere suddenly became tense. Cassian’s words seemed like he might like it if he heard that alone, but seeing him seriously made her doubt it for no reason.
“Why did you say ‘I love you’ out of the blue?”
“Ha!”
Yernia decided to be shameless and leave. It was something she never thought she would say, but once she said it, it became quite easy afterward. Cassian, who had been giving her a bitter smile with a serious expression, suddenly kissed her. She struggled slightly, but his hand firmly held the back of her head, and making it impossible to resist for long. During the kiss, Yernia closed her eyes and followed Cassian’s lead. She even pushed him away slightly as if to calm him down. However, Cassian didn’t calm down at all. Instead, he became more passionate. And rough. Groaning, Cassian showered Yernia’s cheeks, forehead, temples, and lips with kisses.
“I love you.” His sweet voice tickled her ear.
“I love you too.”
Those words, digging deep into her heart, made her heart tremble. Because her heart was pounding so hard as if it would burst, Yernia had to take a deep breath. She had never known that the words ‘I love you’ could hold such powerful emotions. As if wanting to show what it feels like to be loved, Cassian continued to whisper into Yernia’s ear.
“I love you. I love you, Yernia.”
Her heart fluttered. Yes, she liked that. His words. And Cassian, kissing her all over her face like a puppy.
“I love you too, Cassian.”
Although she blurted out those words, Cassian didn’t take them lightly. Anyone who saw Cassian’s expression as she whispered words of love, anyone who saw the affectionate look in his gaze, could never doubt her sincerity. She wanted Cassian to feel the same emotions she felt. Shyness disappeared, leaving only overwhelming emotions dominating Yernia. With her arm around Cassian’s neck, Yernia summoned her courage and gently brought her lips to his. As if there would be no end to this, she moved up to the corner of the mouth and kissed it. His lips curved up into a smile
“Who would have thought we’d be like this, huh?” Cassian said.
“Yeah. I didn’t want to marry you back then.” Now, she liked him enough to whisper her love confession first. Enough to kiss him first. The time they spent as friends was truly regrettable.
“I’m glad I married you.”
“Are you the only one?”
“You must have thought you were unlucky.”
The good atmosphere was ruined by Cassian’s remark. However, it was an undeniable fact. Even if she were to marry someone else, would there be anyone who understood and knew her, as well as Cassian, did? His laughter lightly scattered over Yernia’s face. The pleasant laughter was contagious and Yernia’s lips gently curled up.
“You do know you still have to be punished, right?”
“What? Are you serious?”
“You were quite adorable, but it’s cuter when you act pitiful. I knew you wouldn’t recover from that remark, right?”
“……”
“What? Were you just playing around, honey? Perhaps, you did it on purpose.”
Certainly, Cassian’s excitement level was higher than usual. From what she could feel, Cassian also enjoyed that remark quite a bit. Because she liked it, Yernia discreetly placed her hand on Cassian’s chest. She intended to feel his heartbeat, but Cassian misinterpreted it.
“You hate getting punished.”
“That’s not it. Listen. Your heart is beating too fast.”
Cassian’s hand slowly moved up and touched Yernia’s heart. Due to the location, it felt nerve-wracking. Yernia tried not to be too conscious about it. If she felt Cassian’s heartbeat, he should hear hers to make it fair.
“We might explode at this rate. You seem to like me more than I thought.”
“What are you saying?”
Whether she wanted to feel the pulses in her palm more accurately or not, when Cassian pressed his palm closer, Yernia felt uncomfortable. She was worried an accident might happen. If she were to fall back accidentally under the pressure he exerted, not only her head but her entire body would be covered in flour from the workbench. In the end, Yernia discreetly pulled Cassian’s hand away.
