Natasi covered her and screamed.

“No! I forbid you from hurting it!”

The servants waved around their bamboo sticks, trying to catch the dove that was flying around mid-air.

The dove flapped its wings as it dodged the poles.

“Forbid? Who do you think you are? This is the Fergus House, and I am the head of the house. What qualifications do you have to forbid me from doing what I want to the bird?”

Mrs. Fergus walked up in front of Natasi.

She reached out her hand to slap her when someone suddenly grabbed her wrist and stopped her.

Mrs. Fergus’s gaze softened when she looked at her precious daughter.

Even her voice softened when she asked, “Bellia, what’s wrong?”

Natasi widened her eyes in shock as she looked at her stepsister strangely.

“Natasi.”

Liu Yue stared into the dove’s big black eyes as she slowly spoke, “You don’t want anything bad to happen to Tweetie, right?”

T/N: The dove’s name will be changed from Jiu Jiu to Tweetie to fit

It was impossible for the servants to be able to successfully catch the dove. The dove was constantly flapping its wings as it tried to approach her. It seemed like the dove was attracted to Liu Yu.

Liu Yu pondered over this and realized that this must’ve been caused by the glass pearl in her possession.

Natasi nodded her head.

“Yes! Sister Bellia, please let this slide! Tweetie didn’t do this intentionally.”

Liu Yu’s eyes curved into crescent moons. And under other people’s gaze, her beautiful blue eyes were like a gentle and calm sea.

“Of course, I can do that.”

The young girl bent down towards Natasi and her shadow shrouded everyone around her. Bellia’s mouth curved into a charming but evil smile.

“Natasi, give me Tweetie. You know that I never intentionally harm things that belong to me.”

The smile on Natasi’s face froze.

“Sister…Bellia?”

“What? Are you not willing? Or perhaps…you believe that I’m lying?”

“N-no, that’s not true!” Natasi lowered her gaze and her two small feet curled together in a helpless manner. “Tweetie only eats what I feed it.”

“Then what if it eats what I feed it?”

“T-then I’ll give you Tweetie.”

After a while, Liu Yu returned to her room with the dove in hand.

Natasi bit her lips and gaze absentmindedly into the air, “Didn’t Tweetie liked me the most? Why did it suddenly eat what Sister Bellia fed it? Sister Bellia already has everything, so why must she steal what little happiness she had?

“Louis.”

Natasi walked up to the attic with her barefoot in the dark.

A man whose skin looked as pale as paper suddenly reached out and hugged her from behind.

“I only have you now.”

Natasi sobbed as she whispered, “Why? Why did my mother, father, and even Tweetie leave me? Is it because I’m a bad person?”

The Vampire Duke’s pale hand stroked her cheek.

“No, that’s not true. You are my noble princess and you deserve all the best things in the world. I will make sure I seize everything back for you.”

He kissed the back of her passionately.

“Louis, do you think that…my sister is very beautiful?”

Natasi had always felt inferior to her sister. She timidly raised her head before she quickly lowered her head again, “I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have asked that.”

“How can her filthy and disgusting blood compare to you?”

The Vampire Duke’s fang easily pierced the young girl’s tender skin, “My dearest Natasi…”
