Liu Yu believed that she probably wouldn’t be able to sleep tonight after experiencing so much on her plate today.

But she fell into a deep sleep as soon as she laid on Bella’s soft and comfortable bed that was made from the highest quality silk.

Liu Yu began to dream.

It was a strange feeling when she dreamt. It seemed like her soul ripped out of her body; half floating in mid-air while half immersed into the ground; half awake and half in a trance.

In her dream, she had become a ten-year-old girl once again.

She was wearing a school uniform. The colors on the school uniform faded because it had been washed too many times. She was carrying an old worn-out school bag as she wandered through a long alley. The sun was setting, and she could smell the fragrant aroma of the food from the nearby houses. The adults from those houses yelled for their children to come back home and eat dinner.

She also started heading back home. When she reached the end of the alley, the house she lived in came into view. There was a small garden in front of the house that consisted mostly of grapevines.

The grapes were still unripe, so it clung to the vines tightly. She glanced at the vines before silently walking up to the door.

When she was standing in front of the entrance, she began to fiddle with the straps of her school bag nervously.

There were two test papers in her school bag; she scored sixty points on one test and sixty-five points on the other. It was the score she expected to receive.

In the middle of the house, two voices were arguing with each other in low voices.

“…I don’t care! I want you to return that child to the orphanage. We’re fine without that child anyway.”

“Can’t you be more reasonable? This is only a small matter, so why are you making such a big deal?”

“It’s not a small matter! She’s still young, yet she is full of bad intentions. It’s no wonder that she came from the orphanage. She acts like she must be better than everyone else! If Guai Nan scores 60 points on her test, then that child will score 70 points. If Guai Nan scores 80 points on her test, then that child will score 100 points.
