I Left the Time-limited Villainous Duke Without Saving Him - Chapter 36.2
“Then, only Miss Yelena is going to Duke Mattia’s residence?”
Crack.
The handle was slightly separated from the teacup Christine was holding.
‘Sister, to a place where I wasn’t invited to?’
Even before the anger rose, the servants moved busily and brought a new cup.
“Hoho, really. It was a teacup that I have always cherished… It’s so old that it’s worn out. Now is the time to let it go.”
“Wow, no matter how it is, how can a teacup handle break so neatly? I believe that the cut surface is smooth like it was cut with a knife. As expected of Miss Christine! Your future is promising.”
After Duke Janus’ visit, Christine learned to manage her emotions more skillfully. She used to get so angry that she couldn’t control herself, but after learning the 10-second meditation method taught by her father, it got better.
‘Peter is not a commoner, he is a gentry.’
And gentry people should be handled with care.
At the count of ten, Christine will change into a good, cheerful, and loving child again.
One two three four five six seven eight nine ten.
“Really! Please don’t make fun of me, Peter. If you keep doing that, Christine will sulk.”
“Oh, sorry, Miss Christine. Please don’t sulk. I was thoughtless again. Let’s get straight to the point. Here…….”
Christine watched, disapprovingly, as Peter pulled a bag of tea leaves out of his chest. A look of dismay appeared on Peter’s face as he habitually opened the pouch to check the contents.
“Ah……. I got it wrong. Gee, this never happened…… Apparently my secretary made a mistake. A new secretary… oh no, again I’m really sorry.”
Christine asked without thinking as she watched Peter Koss getting flustered in front of her.
“Hmm? It looks the same as the tea leaves you gave me? Is this different?”
“Ah, it might look like that because it was processed to have a scent similar to the tea leaves you like. But the effect is completely different.”
Peter Koss said, scratching his head shyly.
“This is a medicine that is very effective for constipation. Of course it’s so brilliant that you’ll get a signal right away almost as soon as you drink it. But well, rather than being stuck in the bathroom for half an hour…….”
He stopped talking for a moment, after uselessly opening his frivolous mouth without even realizing it. On reflection, it seemed too dirty of a story for a lovely lady.
“Anyway, Miss Christine doesn’t need it. I will bring the tea leaves you ordered right away.”
“No, I need it. I’ll buy those tea leaves too.”
Mr. Peter Koss looked at the child curiously.
A lively smile appeared on the child’s lips who always had a doll-like face. A brilliant plan had come to Christine’s lovely mind.
After a while, Christine came out of the parlor and climbed the stairs of the mansion.
A place not too far from the attic where the lower maids live. Yelena’s room was so high that even Christine couldn’t help but breathe out after the climb.
After taking a break against the wall for a moment, Christine straightened her posture again. With each brisk step she took, her silky blond hair shone with a radiant light.
Knock, knock-
“Sister!”
Almost simultaneously with the knock, the door opened, and Yelena, who was immersed in her embroidery, lifted her head.
“Christine! Send someone to see Sister down. It must have been difficult to climb the stairs.”
“No. It wasn’t hard at all.”
“But from now on, send someone, okay? Have a seat here. Laura, sit over there.”
“Thank you, Miss.”
Christine examined the embroidery her sister had made.
Impeccable embroidery skills were essential to being a good wife. Because it was customary for a woman to send a handkerchief she embroidered herself in return when she received a marriage proposal from a man.
But that was already a thing of the past. These days, young ladies ask the servants who are good at embroidering. But Yelena, who is naive, was practicing embroidery herself in order to become a great wife.
Christine suppressed her pitiful feelings for her sister and twisted her body with plenty of cuteness.
“But Christine missed Sister so much.”
After ordering the maid to sit down, Yelena, who was busily tidying up her room by herself, briefly gazed at Christine.
It was a brief moment, but a very childish Christine passed in Yelena’s eyes.
Light blonde hair on her big head that she couldn’t control, her soft cheeks that were about to overflow, and her limbs that were short and plump like stuffed sausages. If she could barely recognize her older sister with her clear pink eyes, she would burst into laughter.
