I’ll Become the Female Lead in this Trashy Webnovel - Chapter 88.2
Climax (2)
Sohee only saw the large hand touching Kelly’s dress neckline. As she dashed forward with intent, Daniel stumbled and moved aside. “Oh, don’t come any closer.”
In that brief moment, his expression quickly changed. Looking pale and shaken, he raised both arms in the air—a clear sign of surrender. However, because of Sohee’s continued advance, Daniel instinctively moved his legs. The woman’s determination was more terrifying than that of any seasoned fighter.
If the sweat-soaked attacker could be struck down before making contact, then this situation would be utterly hopeless for Daniel. Without even sparing a glance around, his frantic body collided with the nearby sofa, and he crashed onto the floor. Sohee approached, standing right in front of the man in such a state.
“Don’t ever do this again. I will go wherever it takes to find you. Understand?” She placed her hands on her slender waist, striking a determined pose. During this process, a bead of sweat on her forehead fell down onto Daniel’s face.
“Eek!” Quickly swiping his face with the gloved hand, Daniel hastily got up. He almost collided with Sohee’s face that had been looming over him from above. Sohee stepped back a pace, avoiding the man who was putting up a fight. Through that small gap, Daniel had already contorted his body to escape from the room.
“Phew.” Watching his urgent-looking back, Sohee let out a sigh and turned around. Then, as she looked around, her gaze met Kelly’s, who was sitting against the wall. Her pupils were filled with exhaustion. Unnecessary sympathy flooded in as Sohee approached her and reached out a hand. Kelly, who had been staring at Sohee’s outstretched arm, slowly parted her lips.
“I’m not grateful at all.” Even in her weariness, she managed to express a superficial pride. Feeling embarrassed, she lowered her outstretched arm. “Why on earth did you come here?”
“Well, that’s…” Sohee turned her head for a moment to find the right words. She couldn’t honestly say that she came because she was worried about her. Her shallow pride wouldn’t allow it. “Well, I had some business on this side, so that’s why I came! Like, who would help you willingly? It’s really unbelievable.”
As she rambled on, Kelly, who had been looking up at her inattentively, slowly got up. “If I had known this would happen, I would have just left you alone, Kelly. Seriously.”
She raised the neckline of her clothing, which had slipped down quite a bit.
“You expected me to say thank you?”
“Well, I don’t expect to hear the word ‘thank you’ from you.” Sohee put her arms around her chest and scoffed. After tidying up her disheveled appearance, Kelly slowly raised her gaze and locked eyes with her. Her blue eyes seemed to sway lightly with unknown emotions. Then, unexpectedly, Kelly burst into anger. “You really annoy me. You’re the worst.”
From Sohee’s perspective, she was taken aback. Even though she knew it was the flow of the story that annoyed her, she still helped Kelly with all that effort, and now she was being called annoying.
As beads of sweat formed on her forehead, Sohee wiped them away with the back of her hand and glared at Kelly.
“Wow, even if you can’t say thank you, a human being should at least have some conscience. Use appropriate language. The word ‘worst’ doesn’t mean whatever you want it to mean. It’s a term you use on someone who’s practically trying to kill someone!” Their voices gradually escalated.
In front of her, Kelly also shouted back without yielding when her face had turned pale quite a while ago.
“If you’re going to pull me down, just do it! Don’t deliberately parade around in front of me with Blue Ann Levi and make people bleed!”
“Make people bleed? Do you even have the right to shout at me just for that?”
“What else can’t you do?” Sharp voices filled the room. Kelly suddenly picked up an object beside her and threw it forward. A pointed candlestick flew through the air, grazing Sohee’s face as it passed by. With a tingling sensation, Sohee blinked. When she wiped her face with her hand, she found droplets of blood on her damp cheek.
“Did you just throw something at me?”
“Yeah. I threw it, so what?” Since the death of Sohee’s child, her anger had been suppressed and barely managed, but now it felt like her sanity had snapped.
“You!!!” Sohee clenched her fist tightly, yelled out loud, and lunged forward. Her long-held wish had been partially fulfilled. When they faced each other in the drawing room before, she had mentioned her wish to Kelly: To tear out all of her golden hair and mess it up. Their bodies collided on the cold marble floor. Their hands naturally went to each other’s hair, and with the determination to pull out every strand, they exerted all their strength.
The intense movement caused the table to shift, and the objects on it fell off. In short, it was a complete mess.
