Outside the residence.

A young teenager who appeared to be twelve, wore a worn coat and shoes with slightly worn soles. Once the security guard saw him, he greeted smilingly, “Li Pei, you’re here again.”

“En, uncle.” The child nodded. His eyebrows were naturally delicate, but now became slightly furrowed and radiated a sense of melancholy, compelling one to pity him.

“It’s a cold day, go in quickly!” The uncle who looked thirty-ish waved his hand, signaling him to go immediately.

The chilly wind of winter blew, making people shiver unconsciously. Li Pei jogged to his master’s small yard and rang the bell. He was poor; his father was addicted to gambling and his mother had a submissive personality. When he got abused by his father previously, his master saved him and brought him to his house and gave Li Pei food to eat. After noticing that Li Pei had a talent for drawing, he accepted him as his apprentice.

One had to admit, Li Pei was born to become an artist.

His artworks could already be sold to the public after learning for only a year, and two of his works were even sold at a decent price, providing some additional income to spend for household expenses. Of course, he should thank his master for this, or else no matter how many pictures he drew, all of his artworks would be made in vain without connections.

Unlike before, Li Pei saw a teenager on the sofa when he entered the lobby. The youngster appeared to be a similar age to him, but was dressed in fine clothing, and possessed a maturity that he didn’t have.

Li Pei’s body became stiff and his confidence dropped low. Turning towards the master’s wife and Xu Jiahui, he somewhat timidly inquired.

“Ah! Brother Li Pei has come!” Xu Jiahui let out a loud howl and jumped to Li Pei’s side. Pointing to Wei Zhe, he replied, “Da da, this is my friend Wei Jing’s big brother – Wei Zhe. Brother Wei Zhe is amazing. He’s only thirteen, but already a Junior in high school.”

In the past hour, Xu Jiahui had gained another idol just like this.

Junior in high school? Li Pei’s face revealed the shock that he wasn’t able to conceal. He…he even has trouble with some of the sixth grade topics, and this person was already a Junior in high school? Indeed…amazing!

“Hello, my name is Li Pei.” The teenager greeted somewhat shrinkingly.

Xu Jiaming’s apprentice? Hm! That means his younger brother would be interacting with him for quite some time? Wei Zhe got up. His eyebrows were as dark as if they were painted with ink and his deep and dark eyes were charming. “Hello, I’m Wei Zhe,” he greeted politely.

“Xiao Pei came to find Jiaming? He’s in the art room. You can go straight in.” Aunt Xu spoke gently as she noticed Li Pei’s reservedness.

“Then I will go ahead. Thank you Aunt Xu.”

“Go ahead!”

Watching another person to his liking leave, Xu Jiahui felt extremely aggrieved. Bastard father, why did he always take away his friend? Humph ‌(╯‵□′)╯︵┻━┻

But, he still had Brother Wei Zhe. Xu Jiahui turned around and looked at the teenager with gleaming eyes… But who would have thought that the teenager picked up a phone call and apologized, “Sorry, something suddenly came up. Please take care of Wei Jing for me. I’ll pick him up later.”

“You’re leaving alone?” Aunt Xu was worried upon hearing his words. “I’ll ask my chauffeur to send you.”

“No need for trouble. My destination is very far from here,” Wei Zhe rejected tactfully but firmly.

Aunt Xu looked at the youngster and suddenly didn’t know what to say. She could only watch him walk out of the lobby with his determined footsteps.

In this new life, he had to accumulate wealth rapidly.

That was the goal Wei Zhe set for himself. He used his memory of the previous life to find a movie that would be famous in the future and wished to be one of the investors, but was rejected once due to his age. Today, the director called him.

Nothing surprising, wasn’t it?

Due to the sudden divestment of one of the investors, progress on the movie had stalled. In the end, the director gritted his teeth, sold his property and filmed the movie with a loan.

Meanwhile…a dumb yet rich kid was willing to invest in his movie, so why would he still be so persistent about the age?

As long as… he gets the investment funding.

Wei Zhe didn’t have much money available. His red packet from New Year and the allowance that he saved up since he was young, plus the five million that he earned from the Ye family, totaled up to be around ten million.

It was the only investment that had low investment, high profit, fast payoff, and was low risk at the moment.

He could do something else after he accumulated more money.

In the backseat of the taxi, Wei Zhe narrowed his eyes and looked towards the blue sky through the glass window. Who would have thought that only ten years from now, this place would be occupied with smog, coloring the sky gray.

Just like how no one would expect the power of the internet to become so unimaginable in the end.
