Bei Yao Film City was a famous movie and TV drama recording studio. Many film crews gathered there.

Lin Jingfei would often go there for filming, but she didn’t like to stay at a hotel.

After all, there were a lot of film crews and there were only a few five-star hotels. All the film crews would fight over the room bookings. So much so, there were times when the film crews could not book enough rooms and the actors would end up having to share. Lin Jingfei did not want to share a room.

Luckily, the Qin family had a new real estate development project nearby. Lin Jingfei knew that Qin Jue had reserved three apartments. Other than the penthouse apartment that was reserved for himself, the other two apartments, one was for little sister Qin Xiang and the key to the last apartment was in her hands.

But what Lin Jingfei did not expect was that the ownership paperwork for the apartments, including the one that she was living in, had long been completed. Until now, she had only been given a set of keys.

She had known Qin Jue for almost 20 years. The two people were not only friends, they were practically family. In the past, Qin Jue would definitely have treated her and Qin Xiang equally.

Lin Jingfei put down the glass of water and leaned against the sofa. Her eyes looked distraught, while her delicate, fair face looked innocent and gentle.

Her burgundy silk pajamas smoothly clung to her skin. It made her skin look as white as jade and showed off her graceful curves.

She looked at the man standing alone by the window. He stood straight and tall and he had an air of power around him. She lowered her eyes slightly.

Qin Jue had always been one of the most outstanding people in her generation.

The Qin family had a high status and Qin Jue was the designated heir. He was good-looking and had good grades. He was talented at basketball and piano. It was as though everything would be effortless for him.

He also had a good upbringing and had a kind demeanor. This caused all his teachers and elders to praise him.

Now that his youthful years had ended, the man had become more mature and decisive. His cold temperament that seemed to penetrate his entire being caused him to feel even more attractive.

Lin Jingfei had felt that Qin Jue had been the closest to her. However, after he returned from being abroad, he seemed to be a bit distant. She was not willing to let this continue.

After a brief consideration, she got up and walked to Qin Jue’s side.

Her uninjured right hand wrapped around the man’s arm. She leaned her head closer and the collar of her pajamas slightly slid down, giving the sexy image that could rile up people’s imagination.

She seemed to be unaware of this and she opened her mouth: “Ah Jue, did my elder cousin-sister misunderstand? Do you need me to help you explain?”

Her voice was clear, sweet, and it also contained some self-blame.

Qin Jue had become a bit reticent over the years, but towards Lin Jingfei, he was still considered as gentle.

He put away his phone and walked by himself to sit down. He rubbed his temples and gently said, “It’s nothing. First, we have to cooperate with the police to deal with yesterday’s matter.”

It was, after all, he who had gone back on his words, and Ruan Zhiyin was currently angry. He could understand that she might not mean what she said and when he returned, he would explain everything to her properly.

The two of them had experienced many things, and Qin Jue was certain of Ruan Zhiyin’s feelings for him. He had also decided on her.

Even though after they returned from abroad, they had gotten into quite a few quarrels over Jingfei, Ruan Zhiyin definitely will not leave him.

Qin Jue was very certain about this point.

But in his heart, he still felt a bit frustrated.

“Ruan Zhiyin is intentionally throwing a tantrum. You already said that the wedding will only be pushed back. But she is still saying things like canceling the wedding as if she is not afraid of it being canceled.” Jiang Anzheng said, yawning as he walked out of the guest room. His words were full of disapproving teasing.

The Ruan Company was currently in Uncle Lin’s hands. Marrying into the Qin family would allow Ruan Zhiyin to have the means to seize power back from Uncle Lin.

He did not believe that Ruan Zhiyin would really cancel the wedding, let alone break up with Qin Jue.

Just after speaking, he felt a piercing gaze.

Jiang Anzheng raised his eyebrows in surprise. “Why are you looking at me like that? Feifei was really slashed by that madman. When I called you, weren’t you also anxious? You didn’t even ask how serious it was.”

Lin Jingfei’s right forearm was wrapped in thick gauze. It looked very serious, but it was just a scratch.

However, they were both well-versed in the methods of the entertainment industry and they would not let go of any opportunity to hit the trending searches list.

“Ah Zheng, Zhiyin is my wife. For my sake, you should treat her with some respect.” Qin Jue’s pursed his lips and his words carried a light warning.

Jiang Anzheng liked to speak recklessly, but Ruan Zhiyin had a good temper and had never held it against him, so Qin Jue also didn’t pay much attention to it.

But when he thought about her attitude just now, he suddenly felt that she might have really minded. She had only not said anything to Jiang Anzheng purely because of the good relationship he had with him.

When Lin Jingfei heard Qin Jue address Ruan Zhiyin in this way, her face stiffened. But she quickly hid it.

Jiang Anzheng sneered in his heart. He wanted to say, “But you guys haven’t even gotten married yet?” But he still nodded his head and said, “Alright.”
