Transmigrated into the Cannon Fodder's Daughter - Chapter 21.2
Editor: Aaghna
Qu Lian hung up the phone as her entire body trembled. If Fei’er hadn’t called her, she never would’ve known that her son gave away 10% of the company shares to Li Xiao. That’s 10%! It was not something one could just throw around.
What was wrong with him?
Li Xiao was bound to marry off into another man’s family. When that happened, the company shares would be with an outsider. Not to mention, Xu Manqin corrupted Li Xiao at a young age, and now, Li Xiao was incredibly arrogant. She never got along with her Grandma. Just what was Li Nanjue thinking? Why did Zhan Jiayin not stop him? She’s so useless!
This wasn’t good! Qu Lian couldn’t let go of this matter!
Qu Lian couldn’t sit still and eventually decided to return to S City and defy Buddha. Throughout this year, she had dreams of a demon saying that the Li family’s feng shui was problematic. Only by worshipping the Buddha could she restore her family’s feng shui. But now, problems with her daughter-in-law and son were forcing her to return home, making her bid farewell to the temple. But another reason she needed to return was to fix the mother-son relationship that Zhan Jiayin had caused a rift in.
Qu Lian couldn’t stay here peacefully any more. If she stayed any longer, who knew how much family property Li Nanjue would give away? Everything was supposed to be given to her precious grandson!
Immediately, she asked someone to pack her luggage and book a morning flight for tomorrow.
Mrs. Yang, the housemaid that typically served Qu Lian, came to her with a thick envelope and said, “Madam, this was addressed to you.”
Qu Lian’s eyebrows furrowed. Nowadays, who still sends letters by mail?
She took the envelope which didn’t even have any stamp on it. On it were simply 3 big words: To Qu Lian.
Qu Lian tore open the envelope. When she looked at the pictures inside, she found it hard to breathe, her expression darkened and her consciousness flickered.

Li Qianfei hummed happily with a smile gracing her features.
Seeing his happy daughter made Li Nanjue break out into a light smile. “Did Fei’er miss Grandma that much?”
After receiving a call from his mom saying that she was coming home today, Li Nanjue left work early. He couldn’t help but feel slightly guilty for his mother who had spent half a year praying in her hometown.
“I made some of the dishes Mom likes, but it’s been a while. I’m scared she won’t like it,” Zhan Jiayin said warmly.
When Li Nanjue saw her gentle appearance, his heart softened. “Mom likes whatever you cook. She won’t have a problem with it.”
For a moment, the originally tense atmosphere receded.
When the happily humming Li Qianfei saw the bored Li Xiao on her phone, her smile deepened. “Older Sister, you haven’t seen Grandma in a while either.”
Li Xiao hummed and raised her head to reveal a big smile. “Grandma must’ve been lonely living by herself. I think living here would suit her better. Auntie, make sure to treat Grandma well.”
At her words, Zhan Jiayin’s smile stiffened. Her husband’s mother wasn’t an easy person to please. Zhan Jiayin feared she would die sooner or later if she lived under the same roof as her.
Li Nanjue was moved, and he thought Li Xiao’s idea wasn’t a bad one.
“Jiayin, why don’t you stop filming and just rest at home and stay with Mom.”
If she didn’t go to film, she wouldn’t be in contact with Ren Shaotang very often.
Li Qianfei felt rather unsatisfied. What was wrong with Dad? Why was he being so stubborn? He wasn’t supporting Mom’s hobby of filming. How was this any different from male chauvinism? But the person she was most dissatisfied with was Li Xiao. Li Xiao dared to provoke her in front of everyone.
“Dad, Mom has only one passion. How can you stop her from pursuing that? If she retires, her millions of fans are going to cry to death.”
Li Nanjue’s expression turned complicated, and he opened his mouth to reprimand her. But he was interrupted by Li Qianfei’s excited yelp.
“Hey! Grandma’s back!”
A luxurious car entered the courtyard. A few minutes later, Qu Lian’s figure came into view.
Li Qianfei looked at her grandmother’s furious expression and sensed the incoming conflict. Grandma was an elder, so if she lectured Li Xiao, Li Xiao would have no choice but to quietly listen.
She watched as Grandma furiously strode over, not bothering to greet Li Nanjue.
A loud slap resounded, and upon looking at Zhan Jiayin’s red and swollen face, one could tell that Qu Lian had struck her mark.
Li Qianfei was stunned, and her eyes widened.
Shouldn’t she be hitting Li Xiao? Why was she hitting Mom? Didn’t Grandma return so she could settle the score with Li Xiao?
