Your Most Faithful Companion - Chapter 29
Noticing the flaw in the messages, Ji Mingshu quickly withdrew that message and the message after it which said, “Learn from this,” thinking that Cen Sen wouldn’t check his messages immediately. After doing so, she pretended nothing happened.
However, new messages soon appeared simultaneously in the chatbox after her withdrawal:
From Cen Sen: “What an extraordinary fairy you are.”
From Cen Sen: “The dress is not the high-end design, you are.”
From Cen Sen: “My precious baby is so attractive when she invests in her looks.”
“…”
His flatter without exclamation marks seemed mocking with its robotic copy and paste, especially when it was sent through Cen Sen’s dark-colored profile picture. Ji Mingshu wondered if he was showing off his memory or his learning abilities.
From Cen Sen: “Am I learning it right?”
From Ji Mingshu: “…”
She finally understood; this shitty man’s intention was to show off. He probably thought that he had decent writing skills by not copying her last message, leaving people with an infinite imagination of what the last sentence will be.
She placed her phone down and said to the store employee with a forced smile, “Sorry, I don’t want the necktie clip anymore.”

Thanks to Cen Sen, Ji Mingshu freed her spending desires in the next 3 days of her Haute couture trip, leaving everywhere her cool figure as she swiped her cards.
During this period, both Ji Mingshu and Gu Kaiyang didn’t have time to meet each other.
Gu Kaiyang arrived in Paris with her press team, and as the new editor-in-chief, many issues needed her decisions. She didn’t have the time to leave her team and do her own thing.
After Haute Couture Week, her press group had to stay an extra day shooting additional photos to cover the cost of traveling to Paris.
Ji Mingshu originally planned for Gu Kaiyang to leave Paris with her on her private jet, but now that plan was tossed. Since the jet needed maintenance anyway, she put it under maintenance and stayed in Paris to wait for Gu Kaiyang.
Although they returned to inland together, Gu Kaiyang didn’t upgrade her flight seat to work with her teammates on the plane to publish their final magazine.
Coincidentally, Ji Mingshu met Jiang Chun again in the first-class area.
Jiang Chun had become much skinnier than before; her original round chin was now sharp. She didn’t put much effort into her dressing, only wearing a plain t-shirt and jeans. Though she appeared a little haggard without makeup, she also gained a more pitiful feel.
Ji Ming lowered her sunglasses and looked shocked after observing Jiang Chun’s face.
She always knew Jiang Chun had nice facial features, but this was the first time she had seen Jiang Chun without makeup. Her name really suits her: Jiang Chun, isn’t she just an innocent-looking beauty?
Ji Mingshu was usually cold and ignorant to Jiang Chun, but now, she initiated a conversation since she had always favored beauties. “Ms. Jiang looks like she has still not recovered from heartache.”
Jiang Chun didn’t speak.
Upon meeting Ji Mingshu, Jiang Chun also acted differently than she usually would. She used to shift into her passionate defensive mode or attacking mode, like how she offended Ji Mingshu without specific reason last time in the hotel lobby.
Now, she laid her entire body on the seat, radiating a disheartening aura that said, “Fine, you can humiliate an abandoned woman however you want.”
When the flight attendant came to deliver wine, Ji Mingshu slightly lifted her chin in Jiang Chun’s direction and said, “Please give this lady a meal and a cup of smoothie. Thank you.”
Jiang Chun cuddled in her seat without any reaction, not even lifting her eyes.
The flight attendant looked at her, then at Ji Mingshu, not knowing whether she should comply.
Ji Mingshu smiled and said, “We know each other; please bring the food, thank you.”
The flight attendant froze in place for a second, then nodded, feeling her heart skip a beat.
Soon, the food that Ji Mingshu ordered for Jiang Chun was ready.
The flight attendant even gave them an additional piece of dessert, inviting them to try out the new product.
Ji Mingshu tried a piece and told the flight attendant her opinion of the dessert out of respect. Meanwhile, Jiang Chun appeared to be discouraged, as if she wasn’t planning to touch any of the foods.
Ji Mingshu ignored her reaction. Eat or not, I don’t care, Ji Mingshu thought.
After finishing her dessert, Ji Mingshu flipped through a fashion magazine.
She had already seen all the fashion magazines on the plane except the one from Gu Kaiyang’s 《Ling Du》, which were magazines for men. She wasn’t a virtuous wife who manages her husband’s outfits, so why should she look at it?
She covered her mouth as she yawned and put on her sleeping mask to sleep.

In the silence, Jiang Chun soullessly glanced out the window.
