The mana stone and bag that had been scattered on the floor sat neatly on a chair, waiting for me. I opened the bag and grabbed the mana stone, and I snapped my fingers toward the floor.  If the mana stone was the cause, I might be able to use the magic now.

My predictions were right.

The baron gasped seeing a large fireball on the floor.

“My god.”

After diligently examining the corpse, the surprised baron looked back at me with eyes as big as a flashlight

“Could you please give me a warning?”

“The baron, you have a very weak heart.”

“Who wouldn’t be surprised to see a fireball thrown right next to their head!”

The baron groaned when he remembered that his head had almost been blown off. Turning away from the baron who was putting out the fire with dirt, I rummaged through my bag.

“If I had known it would be like this, I would have left a scroll.”

I just tore them all apart  I clicked my tongue as I looked at the torn scroll. Currently, all I have left are three magic stones. Even that was for attacking purposes and did not serve as a means of movement or contact.

I wondered what time it was. If I didn’t go home soon, my family would be worried at home.

When I saw the moon rising high in the sky, I called the baron, “Baron, did you find anything?”

The baron shook his head. I knew it! As expected, I wasn’t disappointed.

“It can’t be helped. First of all, let’s ride a horse to the city.”

Any delay here would only lead to being targeted by wild beasts. Jumping off the carriage, I swept the mana stone pieces into my bag and sealed the entrance.

“What is it?”

“A piece of mana stone. Currently, there is no better harvest other than this.”

I stroked the head of the purring horse.

“Good boy. Come here.”

A flock of birds flew up from the mountain.

As I  raised my head at the vibration transmitted through the soles of my feet,  the baron, who had been staring blankly at the mountain, spoke in a trembling voice. “My lady, it seems that today is not our day.”

Seeing what was there on the entrance to the mountain, I followed the baron and gaped, dumbfounded .

“No way….”

I groped my forearm.  Actually, I didn’t say it because I was afraid the baron would be worried, but I hurt my arm while fighting earlier. It was impossible to deal with well-trained knights alone.

It wasn’t a deep wound, but I didn’t take it seriously…

‘Now that it was a monster, it was different!’

I bit my lip looking at the monster that was the size of a house.

“F*ck”

The eyes of the monster that had spotted me gleamed red.

The monster was chasing me right behind me. How could I say something nice!

Looking back, I frowned when I saw the monster running with a heavy body.

The monster, covered with stones like a golem, did not get hurt even if I swung a sword at it. Because of the solid body, the blade did not go in, and it was useless to use magic stones. The stone was burned to the ground.
