Married To A Savage Duke - Chapter 78.1
When was resistance ever meaningful? After squirming a few times, Cherryl stretched her body as she thought, ‘Just let it happen.’ She leaned her cheek against his solid body that warmly embraced her, and she didn’t mind it. The hands that wrapped around her waist, as if praising her for being pliant, patted her gently. It felt like they were going in an unexpected direction, but Cherryl didn’t stop him.
However, she suddenly spoke with a discontented voice.”The game wasn’t that unfair. You kept the rules to yourself and then revealed them later.”
Cade restrained his laughter and regained his composure. “Oh dear, I didn’t realize I was causing you such distress, ignoring my kind intentions.”
“Why did you do that? Why couldn’t you understand my feelings?”
“I apologize. Please allow me to apologize until your resentment is relieved.”
Cade walked along a gravel path on a hill. As her agitated emotions matched his strides while hearing the sound of the stones being crushed, they quickly dissipated. Cherryl looked up at the purplish sky and closed her eyes. As she buried her face in the nape of his neck, a very familiar scent greeted her. It was a unique scent that was robust but not overpowering, reminiscent of the chilling air of winter.
“I like the way you smell.”
From a man’s body that was big, rough, and had no softness, she couldn’t understand why such a pleasant scent emanated. When Cherryl had held onto him for a long time, his scent permeated her hair, and out of curiosity, she had sniffed that scent countless times. A melody from a distant bard reached her ears. The excited voices of children and the rustling of papers all felt like a dream.
Even on a street far from the bustling area, the festival’s atmosphere lingered, which was quite delightful. As she was about to savor it even more with a faint smile on her lips, all the sounds abruptly faded away. At the same time, Cherryl felt the air become denser when she opened her eyes.
In the meantime, her body was being pushed into the carriage she had ridden. Before she could even realize that she had entered the enclosed space as the door closed, Cade hastily sealed her lips.
In her slightly tipsy state, Cherryl wasn’t startled even when he suddenly kissed her. As she willingly leaned against his neck and parted her lips for him, Cade eagerly delved deep, as if he had been waiting. In the enclosed space where all sides were blocked, the mingling sounds of saliva and interweaving breaths sounded unusually explicit.
“Wait.”
Suddenly, Cherryl pushed Cade’s chest away. Then, she cast an anxious glance over his shoulder. Judging by the fidgeting of her disheveled clothes, she seemed concerned about the glass window.
“What if someone sees us?”
“No one will see us.” He casually replied and kissed her again. Perhaps the force was too much, as her delicate body swayed backward, and he supported her waist with both arms Cade, whose tongue had entered her parted lips, explored her as if quenching his desperate thirst.
Despite his sensual gestures to raise the heat, her response was less than satisfying.m He immediately pulled his mouth away and looked at Cherryl. Her blue eyes kept flickering towards the window, unable to compose herself. Cade firmly grasped her chin, lowering his lips to engage in a brief kiss.
“The glass has been specially treated, so you can’t see the inside from the outside.”
“Ah.”
“However, if you’re still not at ease, I can close the curtains.”
“It’s alright.” A slight sense of relief appeared on Cherryl’s face. She tightly held the large hand sliding down from her palm. “You can continue.”
Despite her resolute voice, she once again directed her gaze toward the window. Since the outside was visible from the inside, her attention seemed to be constantly diverted. Cade reached out a hand and lowered the window’s curtains. He didn’t want her attention to be scattered, focusing on anything other than him.
Was there anything more enticing than having her damp, blue eyes solely fixed on him? Soon, the light penetrating through the window was completely blocked. The darkness settled heavily in the confined space, and even the slightest sound of her breathing resonated loudly in Cherryl’s five senses. With his heightened sensitivity, he wouldn’t miss any sound or movement inside the carriage.
“Now, are you at ease?” Cade’s low breath poured into her ears. Cherryl stared at Cade’s glittering eyes in the dark and nodded.
“It’s perfect now. Do as you please.”
“Do as I please?”
“Well…”
Before she could correct herself, Cade faithfully followed her instructions. He immediately pushed Cherryl onto the seat, making her lie on her back, and then overlapped his body with hers. The leather seat, which had not yet absorbed warmth, felt cold, causing her to stiffen for a moment.
“It’s cold.”
“It will be fine soon. Please bear with it.”
Cherryl caught a glimpse of the desire burning in his eyes beneath the black strands of hair falling over his eyebrows. His impatient gesture grabbed the leather strap that exposed the front of her chest. Cherryl bit her lip as she felt the fabric covering her upper body loosen.
