Married To A Savage Duke - Chapter 78.2
“Haah.” Her suppressed moan escaped in fragments. The chilled air settled on her exposed skin, causing her shoulders to involuntarily tremble.
Amidst her rapid breathing, she couldn’t help but worry that if she were to remove all her clothes here, she would feel cold.
As he buried his face, Cherryl’s vision gradually blurred. Worried that the sound coming from the carriage would attract attention, she covered her mouth with her hand.
Despite being disheveled, Cade still had his clothes on as he slid his hand beneath her knees. It was then that Cherryl realized her concerns from earlier were unnecessary. Soon, intense heat was felt from their tightly pressed bodies.
It wasn’t the first time she had experienced such rough movements from the beginning, but it still felt overwhelming.
“Ah, it hurts!” She cried out in urgency, causing Cade to pause his movements, but he didn’t withdraw his body from her. His gentle gestures seemed to be an attempt to alleviate the pain. Cherryl tightly grasped his hand. “It’s not that, Cade. Something is poking my back.”
Cade embraced her upper body, lifting her and searching beneath the seat. As their intertwined bodies leaned slightly, he picked up something from underneath. In his hand, there was undoubtedly a decorative jewel that had fallen from Cherryl’s dress. It was stiff and had sharp edges, so it was impossible not to feel pain when it pricked her side. Cade impatiently threw away the jewel and resumed his actions.
“Ah!” Within a few seconds, Cherryl let out a short gasp. Cade narrowed his eyes, realizing that it wasn’t a moan that originated from their movements.
“What is it this time?”
“The hair on my back——-”
With long, flowing hair draped over her back, his movement caused a sharp pain in her scalp. Despite this being a luxury carriage, the space was significantly narrower compared to a bed. Growing increasingly frustrated by the interruptions, Cade made another suggestion.
“Do you want to get on top?”
Cherryl remained silent for a moment. She had tried it a few times in the past, but due to the exertion, she had never succeeded.
“I think it’s difficult. I mean——-”
“But it’s not difficult now, is it?”
“It’s still…” Cherryl didn’t like how she unintentionally whined every time he asked. “I’ll get on. Lift me.”
Finally, she decided to get up. Cade easily lifted her by grasping both sides of her waist.
Cherryl grabbed the man’s cheek as they faced each other and their lips met. As his strong arms tightly embraced her back, something between discomfort and pleasure welled up within her. Whether it was fortunate or not, she didn’t take the lead even after straddling him.
As they continued exchanging kisses and sharing body heat, fireworks celebrating the winter festival were exploding outside the carriage. She seemed to have dozed off for a moment.
Cherryl felt that the tip of her nose had become slightly cold as she sluggishly lifted her heavy eyelids. She was alone inside the carriage. It felt as if her consciousness had been completely severed as if she had fainted. Her last memory was seeing her tears falling onto his crisp shirt, with her forehead against his nape.
Cherryl blinked slowly as she lifted her upper body. Cade’s outer garment, which had been covering her, fell to her thighs.
“Ouch.”
Muscle soreness radiated in her back, lower back, and thighs. It was due to the aftermath of continuous sex without a break. Her head felt a bit dizzy, and she was thirsty, likely due to the effects of alcohol.
On the folding table across from her, there was a cup of yellow fruit juice. He must have carefully prepared it as well. Cherryl drank the sweet beverage, quenching her dry throat. Her previously groggy mind became much clearer.
How long had it been since they spent the night together, engaging in marital activities? She let out a silent chuckle as she looked down at her appearance. Unlike her disheveled body, her attire was immaculate without the need for any adjustments.
The closure of the fabric that had exposed her chest was neatly fastened, and even the hem of the dress, which had been crumpled and wound up to her waist, was tidy. Seeing that there were no sticky or uncomfortable areas, it seemed that Cade had taken care of everything. Unable to find a specific place to fix it, Cherryl turned her gaze out the window.
Cade was leaning against the front of the carriage, conversing with Roy and Viper. The boys didn’t seem to be enjoying the festival yet.
Just as she was about to check her attire again and go outside, something caught her eye. It was a black button that she wouldn’t have noticed if it weren’t for the bright-colored seat. It had come off Cade’s shirt sleeve.
“Did I tear it off?”
As she tried to stop his hand from moving recklessly by gripping his wrist, she felt something caught on her fingernail. She heard the sound of fabric tearing.
Looking at the button with a dazed gaze, Cherryl remembered the shop she had glanced at earlier. It was a men’s clothing store specializing in suits, neckties, and cuff links. Her gaze hadn’t lingered there without reason.
Cherryl wanted to give Cade something as a gift. It was a perfect opportunity, especially since she had ruined his shirt.
Although she used the money to buy things, it wouldn’t hurt to show some appreciation to her husband. She had only received from him so far, so she wanted to express her feelings, even in a small way, during this opportunity.
Determined, Cherryl swept her disheveled hair aside and stepped outside the carriage. The men who had been engaged in casual conversation suddenly stopped and turned their gazes toward her, their conversations ceasing simultaneously.
