“Coax him?”

The two cats next door were just having a disagreement, so why did he even care?

Ruan Zhiyin was confused, but after a moment, she still asked. “Then how should I coax them?”

“How?…” Cheng Yuelin glanced at her out of the corner of his eye with a hidden emotion in his eyes before the corner of his mouth slipped upwards slightly as he said, “Why don’t you think about it?”

Meeting his gaze, Ruan Zhiyin was silent for a while before she finally figured out something.

Could it be that he was talking about himself?

But… why would he be unhappy?

Cheng Yuelin looked away and was silent. He was clearly still in a bad mood.

Ruan Zhiyin looked at the man who was hiding his emotions and thought for a long time before she sighed and said, “Cheng Yuelin.”

He glanced over.

After pondering for a few moments, Ruan Zhiyin walked over to his side and sat down. After looking at him for a few seconds, she reached out her hand and while the man was frozen – she hugged him lightly.

He did not like to wear cologne so his body only had a faint scent of shower gel which was quite pleasant. With her head buried in his chest, she was not able to see his expression, but Ruan Zhiyin noticed his body stiffening.

By the time he had figured out what had happened, he was completely frozen. He looked down at the person in his arms. The coldness in his eyes faded and a gentle look returned.

Then she slowly patted his back as though she was comforting a child.

But even so, his bad mood slowly faded, and turned into a good one.

“Ruan Yingying, are you trying to take advantage of me?”

Cheng Yuelin gave a laugh and smiled. before she replied he added, “But even so, I will give you this right.”

Ruan Zhiyin glanced at him and met his eyes that were filled with a gentle smile. If he was always this easy to coax, then coaxing him… was not that difficult a task.

She stood back up and smiled at him and gently asked, “Why were you angry?”

“It was nothing.” The man looked away.

Seeing his attitude, she frowned and argued. “Don’t you always say that I should express myself more? Why are you so tight-lipped about your own emotions?”

“It’s not as though I’m going to hold it in. I do not need to discover my emotions like you.” Cheng Yuelin pursed his lips and smiled as he ruffled her hair. “Ruan Yingying, study hard.”

Ruan Zhiyin sighed helplessly and raised an eyebrow. “But I still don’t know why, you would still be angry next time.”

The man crossed his arms and his lips curled into a smile. “As long as you remember your married status, my temper will be fine.”

Not only did he praise his terrible temper as ‘good’, he even justified it and Ruan Zhiyin was speechless.

She could only secretly think that it was fortunate that this only happened at home and he knew to restrain himself in public.

Seeing that his weird mood had passed, Ruan Zhiyin changed the topic. “Are you busy next week?”

Meeting the man’s questioning look, she continued. “Zhou Hongfei is getting married and he sent me an invitation.”

As for his wife, it was the aforementioned Miss Jiang who had dissolved her engagement with Jiang Anzheng.

“Wedding?” Cheng Yuelin raised his chin slightly in surprise.

“Yes.” Ruan Zhiyin nodded and continued. “If you are busy then I will go with Linlang.”

She was telling him about this to show that there was no special relationship between her and Zhou Hongfei. After all, she did receive the man’s warning previously.

According to Ye Yanchu’s words, she had still not gotten this man into her hands yet, so she should clear up any misunderstandings.

Cheng Yuelin was silent before replying, “I’m not busy, I’ll go with you.”

Even though the other person was getting married, even if they were not going to be a love rival, it would still be better to see it with his own eyes.

After the black cat and white cat scene ended, the next day, the two went to work as usual.

After arriving at the company, Ruan Zhiyin took the documents to Ji Yijun’s office and discussed the new financing proposal.

The Beicheng project was a fat piece of meat, even though the Ruan Company had already entered a partnership with Lin Heng, the Yan family had also expressed an interest in cooperating as well.
