My Groom Ran Away - Chapter 39.3
Zhao Bing took a deep breath. “I heard, when Cheng Yuelin was a teenager, he had a girl that he liked. But now that so many years have passed, he might have a problem…”
After speaking, she smiled and said, “Cheng Fengsheng did not want to have any other children after he had his precious son. He was worried he would regret it. Even though we were married for so many years, from the very beginning he only wanted me to be a nanny for his son.”
Ruan Zhiyin was slightly stunned when she heard this.
Ruan Zhiyin did not know if the girl Zhao Bing spoke about was the same girl as Cheng Yuelin’s first love. Zhao Bing probably knew about the complicated situation that started her marriage with Cheng Yuelin and felt that they did not have much feelings between them. For whatever reason, Zhao Bing also seemed to think that the two of them would not want children.
As for Cheng Lang…
She looked down for a few moments. Ruan Zhiyin frowned and asked, “Then who is Cheng Lang’s father?”
From Zhao Bing’s words, if Father Cheng did not want more children, how did Cheng Lang come about?
Zhao Bing reacted and collected her thoughts and sighed. “Cheng Lang is Cheng Fengsheng’s biological child. If you do not believe me, you can get a paternity test.”
Ruan Zhiyin then understood that Zhao Bing must have used some sort of scheme to have Cheng Lang. Maybe Father Cheng was not a good husband to Zhao Bing, but a marriage with conditions was also something that Zhao Bing could refuse. Since she accepted the conditions, she would have to deal with the consequences.
“If you want to have the best of both worlds and fight to have Cheng Lang to be able to visit you regularly, it would be impossible.”
“As for the other things, you can consider it yourself.”
After Aunt Cheng had called her, Ruan Zhiyin had looked into this younger brother of Cheng Yuelin.
Cheng Lang was currently only six years old and possibly due to his awkward position in the Fang family, he was extremely introverted.
Zhao Bing was guilty, but the child was innocent. Since Cheng Hui was willing to adopt Cheng Lang, she had no opinion.
Due to Cheng Yuelin always being a bit resistant to Zhao Bing and during the time that Father Cheng had run into trouble, Zhao Bing was pregnant at the time so Cheng Yuelin had never met his brother. Zhao Bing had wanted her to adopt Cheng Lang and regularly bring him over to visit. She was truly hoping for too much.

Ruan Zhiyin took the afternoon off and after visiting Zhao Bing, she picked up Cheng Lang from the nanny and brought him home.
Initially, she wanted the nanny to bring Cheng Lang to her previous apartment, but the nanny that the Fang family had hired had no patience and wanted to get rid of Cheng Lang as soon as possible.
So, in the end, she had no choice but to bring Cheng Lang home.
Cheng Lang was wearing a pair of light blue shorts with suspenders; he was a little chubby with a pair of round black eyes. He did not speak much and silently sat on the sofa for two hours before he brought up his courage to say his first few words to Ruan Zhiyin in a quiet voice.
“Big sister, will you send me away?”
Even though Cheng Lang was young, he understood that the Fang family did not like him and they were not his family. As for Ruan Zhiyin, Cheng Lang had spent the last while observing her and it appeared as though she did not have any malicious intentions towards him.
Besides, this big sister was very pretty and before when she spoke to the nanny, she was also very gentle. Cheng Lang could not help but have a good feeling towards this kind sister.
Looking at Cheng Lang’s cautious eyes, Ruan Zhiyin pursed her lip and could not bear to lie to him, so she nodded. “Yes.”
“In the future you will live with your aunt. She will treat you well, don’t worry.”
After living in the orphanage, Ruan Zhiyin had no resistance to children. As she also looked kind and gentle, young children also liked to cling to her.
The first time she saw Cheng Lang, she knew that this was a simple child. The fact that Zhao Bing had managed to raise him with such a personality, she did not know if it was good or bad.
Hearing Ruan Zhiyin’s words, Cheng Lang looked a little disappointed. He looked down and his long eyelashes drooped and quietly responded with an “Oh.”
The sound of a door opening came from the entrance.
Cheng Yuelin’s silhouette appeared from the door.
Ruan Zhiyin had already sent him the news and explained what happened in the afternoon. She had also told him it was unnecessary for him to pick her up after work.
She had previously gone out with people to go shopping and after Cheng Yuelin had received the news, he did not think much of it and directly asked the driver to return home.
The man took off his suit jacket and hung it over his arm. Then he casually loosened his tie and removed the cold atmosphere from his body. He leisurely walked towards the stairs to prepare to change into a set of house clothes.
But before he took a few steps, he noticed that the living room’s atmosphere was off. He turned and his lazy glance met Cheng Lang’s timid gaze.
A pair of big eyes met the pair of small eyes and the temperature lowered by a few degrees.
Then the man’s brow rose and gave a glance towards Ruan Zhiyin who was sitting next to the child.
“Heh, Ruan Yingying, is this…”
“Did you bring me a son?”
