I looked up to see how else he would bother me, and Kirsec lifted his hand and pressed his palm on my head like before*.

Oh, come on! I ate as much as you wanted! Stop it! If you do something wrong, I’ll throw up on you!

My stomach kept turning upside down, so I closed my mouth and tightened my throat so as to not make a mistake.

But not knowing my efforts, Kirsec turned his palm from side to side and shook my head. Whoa, it’s coming up! It’s coming up!

After making me dizzy and out of my mind, he took his servant and left the room. You tortured a person with food! What a cruel little boy.

I went back to my bedroom and lay flat on my bed, cursing him inwardly for being such an eccentric.

I was so full that it was hard to breathe, so I kept puffing like a goldfish. When I glanced down, I saw my stomach bulging out like a tiny hill.

Can I digest it all within today? I’m not very sure.

The fact is that, up to this point, Kirsec’s behavior was more like a child’s erratic behavior than a power trip. There was no reason for me to avoid it.

But now I’m feeling that his personality is leaning more and more towards the latter kind.

The day I first entered this mansion, before I met Kirsec, I grabbed and asked the maid who was about to leave after assigning me a room.

“Is there anything I should be careful about here? Please tell me what to pay attention to so that I won’t become a nuisance.”

The maid was surprised at being asked such a question by a seven-year-old.

“Aren’t you just a kid?”

“Yes, that’s why I’m nice and cute.”

Seeing me praise myself, the maid laughed as if she found me sweet. She then pondered for a long while. I wasn’t a servant, and it was unusual for a guest to ask about these rules, so she couldn’t recall anything right-away.

“Well, being punctual? It’s easier to organize everything if you’re always regular.”

“Are meals served individually?”

“You’re a guest. We usually bring meals to their rooms when they ask for them. But the servants gather at the dining room and take turns eating. So it will be hard if your mealtimes are irregular.”

Even though I’m a guest at the mansion, the young maid who liked my friendly attitude spoke to me candidly. I didn’t want a perfect customer reception here either.

“Then I’ll have it with you at the dining room too.”

“Will you do that?”

“Yes. I hate eating alone more.”

When I showed the maid my I’m-a-pitiful-lonely-child expression, sympathy spread across her face since she knew my situation.

“That’s right. Meals don’t taste good if you eat alone. I’ll pick you up at mealtime. Let’s eat together.”

“Yay!”

The maid laughed at my excitement. She seems to have been partially won over.

“And then? What else do I have to be careful about?”

“Well, don’t hide it if you’ve broken something. If there is an accident, notify an adult immediately and get help. You’re a good kid if you follow.”

“Okay. I’ll let you know right away if I get into trouble.”

Seeing me stand straight and answer seriously, the maid burst into laughter again. She was looking at me with an expression like, ‘I’ve never seen such a cute kid before.’

All of my actions were paving stones for something. When the maid seemed to have lost a great deal of vigilance against me, I asked more carefully.

“… Is there anyone I should be careful with?”

“… Is there anyone I should be careful with?”

Did that sound too mature? The maid’s eyes seemed suspicious, so I quickly turned my expression clueless and innocent.

“If I meet a scary person… if I meet someone like that, I’ll have to run away.”

I’m cute. And harmless. And perfectly innocent.

The maid’s face changed into such an exaggerated look. She seems to be thinking what a cute kid I was and regretting her earlier suspicion under my guileless smile.

“No. There’s no one like that.”

That’s what she said. However, her eyes narrowed and her forehead wrinkled. As if she remembered something disturbing.
