Your Most Faithful Companion - Chapter 12
This Private Ginseng hot spring was built explicitly for Ji MIngshu and was located at the end-most of the pools. An exquisite pavilion was built next to the pool, with the ancient flowery palace lantern hanging on each of the corners. There were also antique paper screens surrounding it. In the daytime, it had the scenery of trees and flowers, while in the nighttime, the blurry mists intertwined with the warm yellow lights that radiated from the lantern. Each view came with its unique artistic mood.
The workers waiting on the other side of the paper screens heard her movement, so one of them went to get her robe while the other one served her a cup of tea.
Gu Kaiyang soon joined her. The two of them first went to shower and then made their way to the Spa center while chatting with each other.
As they passed the VIP leisure area, Gu Kaiyang suddenly stopped walking and elbowed Ji Mingshu while lifting her chin to signal, “Jiang Chun.”
Ji Mingshu paused for a second, then followed Gu Kaiyang’s gaze.
A waitress g was serving a fruit salad to Jiang Chun, and her slightly bent body blocked half of Ji Mingshu and Gu Kaiyang’s vision of Jiang Chun.
Jiang Chun also saw them through the gap and shouted their name fearlessly, “Ji Mingshu, Gu Kaiyang!”
Ji Mingshu smiled and exchanged a knowing glance with Gu Kaiyang. Both walked forward leisurely with their long legs.
“Ms. Jiang, what a rare guest.”
Ji MIngshu sat next to Jiang Chun with her legs crossed and off slightly to the side. She grabbed the tiny silver fork and picked up a small piece of cucumber from the fruit salad.
Jiang Chun started to examine Ji Mingshu and Gu Kaiyang’s outfits, and she suddenly thought of something. She had tried using her private spa VIP card and Junyi’s Black card to get unlimited access to the pools, but she wasn’t allowed to. Now she understood; that pool belonged to Ji Mingshu.
She also got some fruit with the fork, “We haven’t seen each other for a long time. I heard that your husband came back, attended Ling Du’s banquet last night with Su Cheng, and bid a necklace? That necklace should only be worth 1.2 million at most right, but your husband bid it at 4 times that price. How generous.” Jiang Chun said with a fake smile.
“I can’t help it, my a’Sen (nickname) has always been passionate about charity events.” Ji Mingshu replied leisurely.
My a’Sen…
This name gave both Gu Kaiyang and Jiang Chun goosebumps.
“It was a pity that you didn’t attend the banquet last night. Oh, right, why didn’t you go?” Ji Mingshu gave Jiang Chun a sad, yet fake smile.
Jiang Chun’s goosebumps disappeared, and so did the mix of expressions on her face.
Not long ago, Jiang Chun placed an order of 4 million at a brand store to sit in the front rows of their first show in China. She spent the money without hesitation and showed off her relationship with the brand owner to those who looked down on her to uplift her status in their social circle.
However, before the brand show was even put in place, it got boycotted by various influencers in the fashion industry due to plagiarism.
The brand owner even had an arrogant attitude, indirectly confessing to their other secret wrongdoings. This news was soon spread to the public and created an uproar that attracted everyone’s attention. Finally, the brand reputation was ruined, and their show was canceled.
In reality, the Fashion industry rarely accuses someone of plagiarism, most of them were seen as simply following the popular trend, being classic, or having similar ideas. Therefore, it was impressive for this brand to associate itself with plagiarism.
Jiang Chun almost became crazy because she was so mad about it. She called the brand owner for 3 consecutive days to insult them but still couldn’t get her money back.
She made a fool out of herself because of this incident, so she had to keep it low profile and try to be as invisible as possible during this time.
Now that Ji Mingshu touched her sore spot, she forgot about all her manners, chewing the fruits loudly in her mouth while replying “no time” with a frivolous face.
She was lucky enough that her fiancé, Yan Yu, sent her a message asking where she was and telling her that he’s coming to pick her up for dinner.
Her previous cloudy face suddenly turned sunny. “Yan Yu is coming to pick me up for dinner, I’ll have to leave you guys here. Oh, why isn’t Executive Cen with you today?” Jiang Chun shook her phone slightly towards Ji MIngshu and said it with childish pride.
It wasn’t Ji MIngshu’s first time seeing other women publicly showing off their affection; she flipped her hair naturally to show the hickey on her neck. “He’s busy with work, so he usually stays with me for the night.” She lifted her chin with her hands and winked at Jiang Chun charmingly.
“…” Jiang Chun was speechless.
What a real bitch.
